After Bad Veins, we picked up a cheese pizza from Lucy Blue and did some Wii bowling.





Genifer took the best three out of five. I forgot how much fun Wii could be. 🙂

Tonight wasn’t just any Friday night on Fountain Square. It was Midpoint Indie Summer

with The Chocolate Horse and a runway fashion show set to the music of one of my fave

local bands, Bad Veins. As promised, here are the photo highlights from this epic night…

My hunch from what I saw at Izzy’s earlier in the afternoon was pretty much spot on. And

on the way to Fountain Square, Genifer and I stopped by Izzy’s on Main to see if we could

catch a glimpse of one of our favorite personalities, Adam Richman from Travel Channel’s

“Man Versus Food Nation.” He’s been in Cincinnati for a quick minute shooting segments

for his show. And tonight, he was shooting a challenge versus Izzy’s 110 Reuben…

















It was pretty cool that we got to see Adam Richman in person. Genifer was all excited.

ps. Did you happen to notice just how ginormous the size of the sammich on the table

in front of Adam in the last few photos. Geez, that thing could feed a small city.

UPDATE: My friends over at the blog, Eggplant To Go saw Adam Richman filming a segment

for MvF over at Tom+Chee at Newport on the Levee. Great stuff! Check it out!

I ran a couple of errands downtown before Genifer came over and on my way, I noticed

a rather uncharacteristically large number of people hang out in front of Izzy’s on Main.



Looking in the window, I couldn’t help but notice all the camera gear.





Come to find out Adam Richman of the Travel Channel’s Man Versus Food Nation is in

town and might be shooting a challenge versus Izzy’s 110 Reuben. Genifer is going to be

super excited if this is true! She adores Adam Richman!

Today was more Freaky Friday fun on Fountain Square with the ice cream eating contest.

There were three heats. The person who finished their pint of Mayfield Vanilla Ice Cream

moved on to the final. And whoever finished another of pint of vanilla ice cream was the

fastest would be crowned the 2011 Mayfield Ice Cream champion of the world.













Last year’s runner-up and champion…



























































Your champion ate his first pint in 1:02 and won the final heat in an incredible 53 seconds!!!

This morning while Milan and I were out walking, we stumbled across a little ceremony

at Thomas M. Berry Friendship Park for the new park in The Banks, Smale Park.

It’s almost a little bit chilly this morning.
