My friend, Caitlin asked me to post some information about the upcoming OtR Skate party.



Final Friday OTR Skate • August 26 • 8:00pm -11:00pm

Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center • 1715 Republic Street

Admission $3 (includes skate rental) • Music by DJ Ken Wright and DJ Sabastooge

FREE Wii, foosball, pool and bumper pool, courtesy of the OtR Rec Center

Food by Turophilia Quesadillas

Cover for the OTR Skate is $3, which includes skate rentals. Proceeds benefit the

Over-the-Rhine Recreation Center. Though the admission covers skate rental, people

who own their own skates or rollerblades are encouraged to “bring ‘em if they got

‘em”, since the Rec Center has 120 skates, first come first serve. The OTR Skate

is an 18 and up event.

There’s a cool new mural on the side of Jean-Robert’s Table.

On our way back from getting coffee, I asked Genifer what she would like to do today. And

without missing a beat she turns, looks at me and says, “Let’s go the the Reds game.” Swoon.















Jay Bruuuuuuuuuuuuce hit another 3 run home run!







We walked down to Mr. Reds Smokehouse and just as we got there it started pouring.





The Reds ended up losing 7-3. So no sweep for the Reds. 😦







Genifer and I are now 11-3 at the Reds games we’ve gone to together this season.

But we are 0-2 at day games. Doh.

This morning Genifer, Milan and I walked to Tazza Mia to get coffee, the best coffe in OHio.

The English Premiere League kicked off another season this morning on FSC!



Oh football, how I’ve missed you so.

This evening I went to see another Reds game to make sure I got in at least one game

in this three game set against the Padres. So far so good, I’ve seen at least one game out

of every Reds home series during the last two seasons. Obsessed? You’d be obsessed too

if you could see the ballpark as soon as you set foot outside your building. Just saying.







Bronson Arroyo was pitching again. I think I’ve seen him pitch a lot this season.









In the middle of third, they played this great clip of the assembly/tear down of the stage

for last week’s Paul McCartney concert at Great American Ball Park…

I missed the beginning of it. I’ll try to find the complete video clip online to post.

And you can still see the impression where the stage was in the center field grass.























Dusty make an apperance to say hello to the second base umpire.





These kids found some beer bottles under their seats and were pretending to drink them.



The Reds were down 3-2 until Jay Bruuuuuuuuce hit a three run blast to put the Reds up.





And the Reds won 5-3!





And it was Reds Friday NIght Fireworks!
