Reds baseball game #31.

Tonight, my parents and I went to see the Reds and the Cubs play at GABP.

And it was Bark in the Park night again. But Milan didn’t get to go…

And the Reds ended up winning 7-2 in one of the fastest baseball games I’ve ever been to.

Oktoberfest weekend has begun.

My parents came down to spend Oktoberfest weekend in Cincinnati. And they brought
just a little bit of stuff with them for the big fun party weekend…
Supplies
The rest of my family will arrive tomorrow.

:)

I never get tired of seeing these big paddlewheel boats on the OHio River.

At lunch today, I went to the Strauss and Troy Market on Fountain Square.

L’Passage.

I walked by Passage on the way to work this morning and saw that tore the facade off
of their marquee and had brand spanking new graphics on the door.

Apparently, it will be called something with an L when it reopens. Hopefully, the name will
something original and catchy that doesn’t contain the word Lounge. But more than likely,
it’s going to be something like Lame.

A beautiful evening.

Reds baseball game #30.

Tonight, Genifer and I went to see the Reds play the team I grew up watching, the Cubbies. Her brother’s girlfriend let us use her family’s season tickets. And we got to sit in the second row, directly behind the Cubs dugout. These seats were even better than the seats I had for that one game I treated myself to when the Cubs were in town a ways back. Amazing seats!

One of my favorite pitchers, Dontrelle Willis was on the hill for the Redlegs.

The Cubs won the game12-8. There were 7 home runs in the game including this monster
blast by Juan Francisco that completely left the ballpark and two by Brandon Phillips.

The Cincinnati Beerfest, part three.

We had a few tickets left over so we went back over to Fountain Square to close out Beerfest.
One of our favorite beers that we discovered this weekend was Shipyard Brewing Company’s
Pumpkinhead Ale. It was one of the best pumpkin ales I’ve ever had. It tasted like pumpkin
pie complete with the whipped cream on top. Yum!

Work it… work… it…

I’ve been seeing a lot of little photo shoots going on downtown lately. Probably for senior
photos and what not would be my guess. And you know you’re doing it right, when your
photographer is taking your fancy photos with a little point and shoot camera…

Like my friend Bryan Fenstermacher said, “Nothing like a big photo shoot with your
photographer that only brings a compact P&S…” I found it pretty amusing. 😛
