Milan loves the present he got back at Christmas in September. He carries it everywhere.
It’s never very far away from him. At all. 🙂

This morning when I walked Milan, he was acting really strange. He kept trying to lie
down. And then when we got back home, he didn’t want any treats. It was really pretty
worrisome. This evening, I was ready to take him to the vet to find out what was wrong
with him. But I was going to take him for a walk after work first and see if he was back
to his old self. And he was! He knocked out 4.3 miles tonight.


When we got home, he polished off every treat that I gave him. I don’t know what the issue
was this morning. Maybe it was just too early. I know it was for me.

77 degree weather.

Those random moments when you just look up at the sky and smile.

When you’re looking for something to watch on TV and you realize that a new episode
of your favorite show is on.

When you’re talking to that special person and you make them smile, and their smile
makes you smile.

The closed-eyed, self-satisfied look your pets make when you scratch them just right.

When nobody else uses the public restroom the entire time you’re in there.

The simple act of holding hands with your significant other.

The beauty of sunrises and sunsets.

Turning your pillow over to the cool side.

Good morning/goodnight text messages.

Showers with the perfect amount of water pressure.

Having that someone who accepts you for who you are.

Waking up, realizing it’s the weekend, and curling up for another hour of sleep.

Falling back asleep cuddling, and waking up still cuddling.

When you realize that you’ve completely moved on from a previous relationship.

The hilarity of an inside joke that you’ll never really get unless you were there at its inception.

Realizing there’s nowhere else you would rather be right now.

I am so incredibly blessed. 🙂

In the Gateway Quarter, there’s a restaurant called Senate that’s the darling of the Cincinnati
foodies. I’ve avoided this place like the plague just because it’s been so incredibly over-hyped.
But today on the way back to the office, I finally broke down and decided to try their burger.





And I ordered their fabled duck fat fries…

The burger and fries were both really good. But not the way this place was hyped, I really
expected both of these items to be the most amazing thing I had ever tasted. And sadly,
they just didn’t live up to the hype. But they were still good.

I guess it was a good thing to try once. But there are better burgers a lot closer to home.

I love this time of year. 🙂

When we were on our way back from our walk, we saw these chalk directions on the sidewalk
that must have been leftover from the opening weekend of Cincinnati Dreams Italy…
