We went to Genifer’s nephew, Aiden’s soccer game this afternoon.



Aiden was in goal in the 4th quarter and didn’t allow a goal.


His team lost but Aiden played great especially in goal!

Genifer and I went to Findlay Market today for lunch. She had never been to Findlay Market.



Genifer got a burrito bowl from the relatively new burrito place…




I got a Bahn Mi sammich from Pho Lang Thang…






While we were at Findlay Market, we picked up a couple of pumpkins to carve next weekend.

Findlay Market always makes for such a fun and delicious afternoon

And it’s supposed to be gorgeous all weekend! 🙂

I figured out what they were building at Lytle Park. It’s a Bocce court. How cool is that?


I betcha it’s tied in somehow to the Cincinnati Dreams Italy exhibit at the Taft Museum of Art.

It looked like they dumped the contents of an apartment or shop on the sidewalk. And people
were picking through the pile of stuff as sanitation workers tossed it into a garbage truck. Odd.

This morning they were in the process of tearing down the Skyline food tent on Fountain Square.

Today marks the 140th birthday of Cincinnati’s iconic Tyler Davidson Fountain on Fountain Square!

I’m pretty ecstatic that the Tigers knocked the Yankees out the the play-offs this evening.

I’m also really thrilled that ARod did his best LeBron James postseason impression and
disappeared/choked again in the play-offs. In the ALDS against the Tigers, he was 2 for 18
(.111) with six strikeouts. The last two postseasons combined, he’s batting .180 with 12 Ks.
The pinstripes have him under contract for the next six year at something like $20 million
a year. It works out to around $50,000 an at-bat. And he’s worth every penny. 🙂
