Today was Genifer’s nephew’s birthday. We headed over to the Westside to met them
at Scallywag Tag for some pirate laser tag. I had never played pirate laser tag
before so needless to say, I was really pretty excited to check it out.




The matches were 20 minutes long and wicked fun. I locked down the fourth place
in the first match, and Genifer came in eighth…

I also got the award for best accuracy in the first game…

They also had some crazy arcade games that I had never heard of.



But you can never go wrong with the classics…

In the second match, we didn’t fare as well. I got fifth and Genifer got tenth…

But holy geez. Scallywag Tag is soo much fun. You don’t even know. Oh. And, they have
18 holes of glow-in-the-dark pirate themed mini golf…

But we decided that we’d save that for another day. 🙂

Tonight, we went to the Taft Theatre to see one of our favorite Cincinnati bands, Bad Veins.
They hold a special place in our relationship because as you might remember, we saw them play
on our first date. And we hadn’t seen them play since last summer on Fountain Square. Tonight
was the CD release party for their eagerly-anticipated second album, “The Mess We’ve Made.”
So it’s needless to say that we were pretty excited to see them play again. And just down the
street from home. Cmon, let’s go!


















They put on such a great show. We can’t wait to sit down and listen to the new album.

I told Genifer a lot about Currito since they’ve opened. And today we walked over
for lunch so that she could check it out for herself. Genifer wanted to try their
Classic burrito first before she tried any of their specialty burritos. I tried
their Cajun burrito… Chicken, cajun spices, black beans, roasted corn and rice.



YUM! We both really, really like Currito. A lot. 🙂

We went across the river to go to Buckhead again for dinner.

Their food isn’t too shabby at all, but we’re really in love their patio. This evening
we watched a pretty evening begin to head south as a front slowly started to roll in.

As we began to leave, it got really windy, rather chilly and started sprinkling.

We finished up just in the nick of time.

Considered to be one of the best-known and most-loved sports venues in the world,
Fenway Park is the oldest venue used by a professional sports team in United States.
And one hundred years ago today on April 20th 1912, Fenway opened it’s gates for the
first time. Happy 100th Anniversay to Fenway Park!

It was so nice this evening, we walked down Holy Grail for a Summer Shandy or two.


It seems like the Reds have been out on their road trip forever.

But they’ll be back in Cincinnati on Tuesday to take on the Giants.
And you know we’ll be there. 🙂

We went a long walk this morning. We walked all the way to the end of Friendship Park.


And we walked 4.17 miles. 🙂

Today is my girlfriend’s birthday!
