I stopped by the Weston Art Gallery on my way home from work because I happened
to notice that there was a new installation called Built in the Digital World…

Always interesting stuff at the Weston Art Gallery. ๐

Welcome to A Good Week.
A Good Week is a global celebration of all the Good that happens in the world.
Over seven supercharged days (June 18-24), a spotlight will shine upon on the people,
communities and businesses who do Good. The vision is a world where everyone can
Feel Good, Do Good and Live Good. And the desire is to have A Good Week help work
towards that goal. I thought this a really neat concept as so much focus is placed on
all that is wrong with the world. To focus on the Good and the positive seems like a
refreshing change of pace. For more information about A Good Week or how you can
get involved, visit their website at… A Good Week.

I hope everyone takes a little time out to celebrate all that is good in the world.
And have A Good Week. ๐

An afternoon in Mt. Adams.
After yesterday’s day and night photo bonanza at Smale Riverfront Park, I knew today
was going to be pretty relaxing and low key. And there weren’t going to be many photos
taken. At all. We walked up to the Oregon Street Steps into Mt. Adams to watch the Reds
as well as the final matches from the Euro 2012’s “Group of Death.”
We had lunch at Tavern on the Hill…

And then we relaxed on Tap n’ Go’s back patio. And I didn’t even take a photo of it. ๐
And then we headed back in to downtown…
What a fun and relaxing afternoon. ๐

Smale Riverfront Park, part three.
After photographing the park during the day, I needed to capture it’s splendor at night.

It’s just one of those things you have to see in person, especially at night. Just wow.

The Black Brigade of Cincinnati.
Another defining feature of the Smale Riverfront Park is The Black Brigade monument.
Cincinnatiโs little-known Black Brigade was formed in 1862 to build critical barricades
and fortifications in Northern Kentucky to defend Cincinnati from Confederate attack.

Wonderful addition to park. ๐

Smale Riverfront Park, part two.
After Crave, we walked back to Smale Riverfront Park with Gretchen and Martin.

And we wandered around the Labyrinth at Smale Riverfront Park…

And we checked out the Cincinnati Bike Center…

Amazing park. ๐

Crave.
After stopping in for a drink to scope the place out last night, we stopped back into
Crave to have a drink and check out their menu. Did you know that they have a Saturday
happy hour that runs from 11-6? No kidding. I don’t know another place that does this.
I started off with one of their Summer Shandy signature cocktails…
Then our friends Gretchen and Martin joined us. We had a few drinks and ordered a few
dishes to share off of their happy hour menu. We ordered the Kogi beef tacos…
Korean chicken nuggets…
Chicken sliders…
Steak bites…
And we just had to try the S’more brownie for dessert…

When we were getting ready to leave, the place was packed…
Incredible place with very delicious yet surprisingly reasonable food.
I definitely see us spending many a Saturday afternoon at Crave. ๐

Smale Riverfront Park, part one.
I was contacted a while back by the architecture firm that designed all the water
features at Smale Riverfront Park. They saw the photos that I took of the park, and
they asked me to take some more photos of the park for them. Today, I finally got out
to photograph the latest gem in downtown Cincinnati.

A cheese coney world record?
As a lead in to the Coney Eating Contest, Cincinnati eating champion, Joe LaRue is
going attempt to set a world record of the most cheese coneys devoured in 90 seconds.
I’m not sure what the current world record is or if there even is a current record.
But as the reigning Coney Eating Champ with 14 coneys in three minutes at last year’s
contest, I know Joe can pack away the coneys…

Go Joe!

And at the end of 90 seconds, Joe had downed 9 cheese coneys! Way to go, Joe!
I don’t know if that’s a world record or not but either way, it’s a lot of dogs.
