It’s what we made for dinner.

We headed back to OktoberFest this afternoon…



And I got this awesome OktoberFest Hat…

Genifer wore her the hat she got last year…


















Another day full of OktoberFest goodness. So good. 🙂

We grabbed a some of brats and beers…



A new feature this year was the Glockenspiel Tower where every hour of OktoberFest
was welcomed with dancing girls, a toast and a ringing of the Glockenspiel Tower Bell…




Then we watched the Brat-Eating Contest…

Featuring World Eating Champion, Joey Chestnut…








Joey Chestnut eneded up winning the Brat-Eating Contest after a one minute eat-off!
He ate 32 brats in 10 minutes and then 5 more in the eat-off. 37 brats in 11 minutes!


And then Joey Chestnut rang in the new hour of OktoberFest on the Glockenspiel Tower.


Now, on with the OktoberFesting…





We stopped to listen to The Bierband.


And then this happened…

So good, so good, so good! 🙂

We hung out at OktoberFest until it started to get dark. And with the darkness came
a wicked fierce wind that would chill us to the bone. We decided to call it a night and
go home to watch the Michigan-Notre Dame game. What we should have done was
put on some long pants and a sweatshirt and head back down to OktoberFest. Ye-ah.
Go BLUE.

Southern Tier Pumking. The good stuff!

At noon, we went to watch the Running of the Wieners on Fountain Square. It’s been the
kickoff event to Oktoberfest-Zinzinnati for the last six years. And it’s one of my faves.









This year there we 10 heats with 10 per heat. 100 wiener dogs! And here we go…

And the 2012 Running of the Wieners champion is Sammy!



We hung around for the Beer Stein Races…




And the same girl as last year retained her crown as Beer Stein Race Champion!

And we hung around to watch the Beer Barrel Races as well…


It’s such a fun afternoon. Great way to kickoff one of the most fun weekends of year
in downtown Cincinnati, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati!

Ha. I’ve noticed that I’ve habitually misspelled Wieners as Weiners. Oops.
That’s my bad. 🙂

We got dinner to-go from Shanghai Mama’s tonight…

I ordered the same thing I always get, Mama’s Tao Chicken…

Their stuff is like never-ending deliciousness and it’s so very reasonable.
We love Shanghai Mama’s.

It’s starting to fell more and more like fall.

Did you happen to notice that creepy guy with the crazy bug-eyes photobombing the
postgame interviews after the end of the tonight’s Monday Night Football game?

Ye-ah. He was a creeper.

I had this delicious spicy chicken bento box for lunch today from Mr. Sushi…

Really good stuff! 🙂

This is our friend Oscar. Oscar’s going to be staying with us for a little while.




It was just like that scene at the end of Goonies, “Oscar, you’re going to live with us now.
We’re gonna take care of you. Because… we love you.” 🙂
