This evening when we were leaving to walk the dogs, there was the Habanero food truck
parked right outside of our apartment. It was there for the UC’s Department of Art,
Architecture, and Planning (DAAP) presentation of LAUNCH, their 2013 Master of
Fine Arts Thesis Exhibitions at the University Galleries on Sycamore…

But when we got home, Habanero had already packed up and were gone. We still haven’t
been able to grab a bite from this food truck. Maybe some day. 😦

We were experiencing a severe burger deficiency so we went back to BBP tonight.


I got their delicious Dallas burger. Again.

And Genifer ordered up the Philadelphia burger with provolone, onions and hot peppers.

After we devoured our burgers, we pumped $15 into the slot machines and lost it all.

We were up $25 at one point but then lost it all. Slots are a lot more fun when you win.

Oh well. After losing our loot, we had a beer at Rock Bar and then headed for home. 🙂

The race for the Kelly Cup has started! Playoff hockey is upon us. The Cyclones have the
Toledo Walleye in the first round. I don’t really understand how all this works, and I’m
too lazy to figure it out. Okay, I’m not. I figured it out. But I’m too lazy to try to
explain it. (Click here.) But the long and short of it is that the ‘Clones started this
best of seven series in Toledo, and won both games. Tonight was game three of the series,
and it’s $1 beer night. Because playoff hockey and cheap beer? It doesn’t get any better.


The Cyclones were leading 1-0 going into the first intermission when this scrum broke out…


Twister has his beard back for the Cyclones playoff run…





I have no idea who the guy on the left is. And at the second intermission, the Cyclones
were still out in front of the Walleye 2-1…


I think Jesus is a Cyclones fan too…

And he doesn’t mind if Cyclones have to take matters into their own hands sometimes…

Down 4-1 with four minutes left in the game, the Walleye pulled their goalie…

They pulled one back to get the score to 4-2, and then the ‘Clones bagged an empty netter.





Awesome game. I can’t wait to watch more Cyclones playoff hockey! GO ‘CLONES! 🙂

It was an amazing tournament run by For the Michigan Wolverines! And unfortunately,
they came up a little bit short in the Championship game. But they have nothing to
hang their heads about. They did the Maize&Blue Nation proud. No question about that.

I think spring has sprung. 🙂

I started my new job today. I really like it a lot. Here’s a picture of my office…

They were took down all the lights in Lytle Park today. We enjoy them so much all winter. 🙂

We’re laying low today. We’ve been sick all week. 😦 Hopefully, we’ll feel better for our
second Reds baseball game tomorrow afternoon. 🙂

I got my taxes taken care of this afternoon. And I even got some money back! 🙂
