No Shave Movember.

A bunch of guys at work decided to join the Movember/No Shave November movement
and grow moustaches during the month of November. Every year during the month of
November, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches on
men’s faces around the world. Through the power of Mo, vital funds and awareness
are raised to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.
I’ve never gone more than a few days without shaving. So I had no idea if this was
going look ridiculous. And here’s where I stand right now with my Mo and no shave…

I have to say, I’m really not hating this at all. πŸ™‚

The Holiday Tree on Fountain Square.

The Holiday Tree on Fountain Square is up and all covered in lights…
Fountain Square
The only thing it’s missing is the giant red Macy’s star on top. πŸ™‚

Good night.

When we were walking home, we couldn’t help but notice the awesome night clouds that
were being all illuminated by the nearly full moon.

Sotto.

With it all stormy outside, what better place to be than in a restaurant without windows?
Sotto
So we stopped into Sotto to grab a small bite to eat before heading home. We shared
a delicious caesar salad…

And then we shared the incredible Short Rib Cappellacci…

Amazing dinner. We can’t wait to eat at Sotto again very soon. πŸ™‚

The City Flea: [Small Mall.]

This afternoon 21C Museum Hotel played host to the November edition of The City Flea.
21c Cocktail Terrace
This City Flea was special. It was a collection of vendors with brick and mortar stores.
The City Flea
“All of your favorite small businesses under one roof right before the obnoxiousness of the
holiday shopping season tries to consume us all. Avoid the malls this year and start fresh
with the “Small Mall.”

The return of Destruct-o-Dog.

When we woke up this morning, Milan had already pulled out most of the stuffing and one
of the squeakers from his new dog toy we just got him a few days ago.
Oscar
He pulled the stuffing and squeaker right out through the dog’s mouth…
Oscar
It was just like the days of the old Destruct-o-Dog. A little missing stuffing or squeakers
wasn’t going to stop Oscar from collecting dog toys though…
Oscar
He had both of their new dog toys, a dog bone and of course, his turkey on his dog bed.
Oscar
They’re pretty funny. And love their toys. πŸ™‚

Metropole.

We stopped in to Metropole in the 21c Museum Hotel for a nightcap…

Boca.

We were all dressed up and looking sharp from the Igby’s one-year anniversary party
so we decided to finally stop in to the new Boca for a drink and take a look around.

Igby’s one-year anniversary party.

Tonight, Igby’s was celebrating their one-year anniversary. It’s one of our favorite bars
downtown so we thought we’d stop by and help them celebrate. Apparently, we weren’t
the only people that wanted to help them celebrate…

The place was just as packed as it was when we went to their opening. And that’s a good
thing. I get the feeling there will be many, many more anniversaries in Igby’s future. πŸ™‚

Shark Girl on the Ohio River.

Downtown details
Sculpture by Casey Milliard sit just above the Serpentine Wall at Yeatman’s Cove along
the Ohio River. “Shark Girl on the Ohio River.” Pretty random.
