It’s so pretty walking through Lytle Park every night. It’s really hard to not take a photo…

SnOMG!
It was snowing like crazy in downtown Cincinnati this morning…

Snopocalypse! But thankfully, it didn’t accumulate very much. π

Cyclones hockey #7!
Tonight, we walked down to US Bank Arena to see of seventh hockey game of the season.
It feels like it’s been forever since we were at our last Cyclones game. The last five games
we’ve been to the ‘Clones have lost. Hopefully, they can end that streak for us tonight.

Of course there were beer pyramids forming…

There’s a Cyclones game on my birthday!

The Cyclones got a penalty shot. Anthony Luciani took the shot…
And put the biscuit in the basket for his hat-trick!

We finally saw the Cyclones win again, 5-1!

The #1 star of the game… the hat-trick hero, Anthony Luciani!

With this win the Cyclones are now 2-5 at games we’ve attended. We’ve seen five of their
nine losses. And only two of their twenty-three wins. Yeah. We’re their lucky charm so far
this season. Hopefully this win will start a whole new winning streak for us. π

It’s Just Crepes.
I saw on Wine Me, Dine Me that It’s Just Crepes recently closed. We were walking down
Court Street and walked past It’s Just Crepes on our way up into OtR. And sadly, it’s true…
It’s Just Crepes is no more. My parents are going to be so sad. π¦

America runs on Dunkin.
Apparently, there’s a new Dunkin Donuts up on Court Street…
America runs on Dunkin. And that makes three Dunkin’s now in downtown Cincinnati. π

The Cyclones Classic.
This evening the Cyclones had their annual three-on-three pond hockey exhibition on
US Bank Ice Rink on Fountain Square. Remember when I went to another one of the
Cyclones Classics a few years back? Tonight’s Classic was a pretty chilly and windy one…

During the second intermission, there was chuck-a-puck…

The puck flew off the ice and landed right next to us. And we got to keep it!

And the white Cyclones team won by a goal in extra time!

Even with the cold and the wind, it’s pretty awesome to get to see the Cyclones up close
and personal! It was another great Cyclones Classic! π

Book of Mormon.
For Christmas, Genifer got us a couple tickets to Broadway Across America‘s presentation
of Book of Mormon at the Aronoff Center…

Apparently, it wasn’t the easiest ticket to come by…

It was a really good show. It was really wicked funny, great singing and dancing arounds.
It wasn’t Jersey Boys. But then again, nothing ever will be.

Queen City Cookie’s Bacon Schnecken.
A Bacon Schnecken from Queen City Cookie mysteriously showed up in our office…

Yeah. Schnecken. With bacon…
Let’s see what this thing actually looks like…
Hmm…
The Schnecken itself was incredibly delicious. Schnecken with bacon, a little bit odd.
Yet surprisingly delightful. π

Salon Beck.
I found out today that the lady who usually cuts my hair moved to a salon in Oakley.
There’s no way I’m driving anywhere to get my haircut. That’s just ridiculous. Besides,
I’ve been serious switching salons for a minute now anyway. They’ve been getting just
too expensive. Now, I finally have a reason to try someplace new. I called Salon Beck
down on Fourth Street, and they got me right in this afternoon…
And I love my hair! It might just be the best haircut I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back.
They made finding a new salon downtown incredibly easy. I should have made this move
along time ago. π
