This afternoon we headed down to Sawyer Point to check out the Earth Day celebration…

It was a gorgeous day just to hang out at the park…

There was an eagle…

And a hawk…

Genifer’s favorite was the owl…

And mine was this turtle…

We learned about this really cool completely solar Go Sun stove…


They were roasting garlic in it, which smelled amazing…



We saw that turtle again…

And the eagle participating in a sack race…


We were all enjoying the sunshine and being outside…


There was this sign for lemonAID…

And we stumbled across a couple new food trucks, Cincy Chili Hut…

And Bones’ Burgers…

We’ll have to track them down and give them a try soon. What a better way to spend part
of a gorgeous afternoon than celebrating the wonderful planet on which we live. 🙂
