Just before Opening Day, we ordered two 20-game ticket plans for this Reds season.
And today, we finally tracked them down in our building’s mailroom…

While we were eating lunch at Skyline, we saw this guy outside on Race Street…



I guess the times are still tough.

This evening we cashed in on our first free LaRosa’s pizzas of this young Reds baseball
season thanks to the Reds pitchers combining for 12 strikeouts in what was a thrilling
yet incredibly long Opening Night win.

Genifer got this pizza with spinach and mushrooms…

And this was my pizza with sausage and green olives…

YUM! I wonder if we’ll be able to beat our record of 11 free pizzas from last season?
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! But one-for-one certainly isn’t a bad start! 🙂

Today is my one-year anniversary at Deskey. It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year.

Great first year with a great company. And I couldn’t be happier. 🙂

This evening Bellevue’s Marco’s Pizza was in the Tavern Room of our building selling
large pepperoni pizzas for just $9 and large cheese pizzas for only $7. So we took our
Saturday casino winnings to pick up a large pepperoni pizza for dinner…


If someone shows up at your front door with pizza, why not? And it was pretty good stuff!

It was another grey and rainy day in downtown Cincinnati…

As seen from my office at work. It was kind of perfect weather for a Monday.

When I was walking home for lunch, I saw some extras from The movie Carol walking
down Sycamore Street to get their lunch…

I wish I would have been able to get my phone out quicker when they were all walking
right towards me. It really made you question just which decade you were in. It was
pretty cool because the catering location for the movie extras was in University of
Cincinnati’s University Art Galleries on Sycamore located just below our apartment…

After work was over, I heard that the movie was shooting on Ninth Street. On my walk home,
I stopped by Ninth Street to take a look…

I didnt see much going on but it was really cool to see all the old 50s era cars lining Ninth
Street. Pretty cool stuff in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

I don’t know if you’ve heard the story of how month ago a stray dog was found wandering
around the Milwaukee Brewers’ spring training facility out in Phoenix, Arizona. He was
in pretty bad shape and looking for food. He was found by team management, taken in,
given the name Hank and adopted as the Brewers new mascot. Meet Hank…


Well, Hank has been such a hit that now the Brewers are having a Hank bobblehead night…

And they’re playing the Reds that weekend! So yeah, long story short, I’m a sucker for a
great, happy story about dogs and now we have Brewers tickets for BobbleHank night.
Milwaukee, we’ll be seeing you soon! 🙂

The Genius of Water on Fountain Square now has her water back…

It’s always nice to see Tyler Davidson Fountain up and running again…

It’s a definite sign of spring in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂
