Reds baseball game #36: The final game of the season.
The last Reds game of the season. 😦
Johnny Cueto was on the hill for the Reds…
He was going for his 20th win of the season…
It was a beautiful day for the final day of the Reds season…
BABY BARGE!
Johnny Beisbol…
The Chipper for Mr. Reds Smokehouse…
BARGE!!
The Sunday live Mr. Reds Race…
Cueto. Eight innings on one-run ball.
Lead-off triple by the Reds Jason Bourgeois…
Cueto could help his own cause 1-1 game, runner on third, one out…
And Cueto singled up the middle! 2-1 Reds! The Pirates catcher got caught on the forearm
with the bat on Cueto’s follow through. Ouch.
And then Kristopher Negron went yard! 4-1 Reds!
Time to shut this one down…
And this one belongs to the Reds! Johnny Cueto! 20 WINS!
It was another great summer of baseball at GABP! 🙂
I already miss Reds baseball. Click to see all the photos I took at GABP this season.

Lunch at Boswell’s.
After climbing all those stairs, our behind the scenes tour of Union Terminal left us in
desperate need of a cheeseburger. So we headed off in the direction of Northside via
College Hill to find some burgers.
We stopped at Boswell’s. We stopped there before after a very cold and rainy edition of
The City Flea last year and shared a delicious cod fish sammich.
Genifer ordered a mushroom swiss burger which I completely forgot to take a picture of,
mainly because I was so excited for my burger. Because Boswell’s offers green olives
as one of the ingredients you can get on top of your burger! I haven’t seen that since way
back in the day with the Mr. Fabulous Burger from Mr. Fables up in Grand Rapids.
Add some mayo and boom! Instant Mr. Fabulous burger! At least pretty darn close to it.
What a delicious burger! I can’t wait to come back soon and enjoy it all over again!
We also learned that Sunday is Pasta Day at Boswell’s…
Salad, pasta, garlic bread and tiramisu for dessert. And all for just $10!
We’ll have to give that a try sometime in the near future! 🙂

Vote YES on 8! #VoteYesUT!
This morning we were invited to go on a behind the scenes photo tour of Union Terminal
from the National Trust for Historic Preservation by @grantrstevens of @SavingPlaces
and Cincinnati Museum Center. The National Trust named Union Terminal and Music Hall
to their 2014 11 Most Endangered Places list as part of their National Treasures program
in June 2014. Vote YES on 8! VoteYesUT! And with that, we’re off to Union Terminal…
Who knew that in just a little bit we’ll be just behind all that glass, getting to take a look
at Union Terminal’s clock up close and personal?
And we’d be walking across a catwalk high above the ceiling over the rotunda in a section
of Union Terminal called “The High Steel?” Gulp. Hello, sweaty palms.
All the way up there…
On our way “Between the Glass…”
Yeah, translucent glass floors…
The doorway to the inner workings of Union Terminal’s clock…
Behind Union Terminal’s clock…
Stairway to “The High Steel…”
We’d come back down this ladder later on in the tour.
Back “Between the Glass…”
Restorations are desperately needed…
Vote YES on 8! and VoteYesUT!
The view of downtown Cincinnati through one of the replaced windows…
What the original windows look like…
Still “Between the Glass…”
They opened two windows. One looking out towards downtown Cincinnati…
And directly across from it, they opened a window that looked down into the rotunda…
Holy sweaty palms. I do not care for heights. Off to “The High Steel…”
Each and every one of those rivets were driven in by hand…
Up into “The High Steel…”
The apex of the ceiling high above the floor of the rotunda…
This winch is one that holds aloft the giant American flag in Union Terminal’s rotunda…
And this is the other…
One of the little holes in the ceiling that looks down onto the ticket desk on the floor of
Union Terminal’s rotunda..
And starting back down…
Onto the section of Union Terminal that needs the most attention…
The bricks on the outside of Union Terminal were never sealed and over the years, and
it’s caused all this massive water damage over the years…
And this why Union Terminal desperately needs our help. Vote YES on 8!
Look at the giant crack in the bricks…
And here the brick’s are bulging out over the window…
It was an amazing behind the scenes tour of Union Terminal…
Please do your part to help one of the true historic gems of Cincinnati, Vote YES on 8!

MPMF.14: Friday.
Last night’s MPMF was a bunch of fun! To start off our MidPoint Music Friday, we headed
up to Christian Moerlein Brewing Co…
But first checked out the new Christian Moerlein Taproom. We made it back outside just
in time for the bands to start up again with San Francisco’s Tycho. Quite the crowd…
Just like last night at Washington Park for Chromeo.
We headed back down to MidPoint Midway…
And on to MOTR…
To hear Aida Victoria from Nashville…
And the back to Mr. Pitiful’s for Akron’s Shivering Timbers…
And we stuck around to hear machineheart from LA…
And then we were off to the Know Theatre for NYC’s Rubblebucket… (New York City?!)
And on the way home, we got a couple slices of delicious Lucy Blue pizza…
Another pretty incredible evening of music at MidPoint Music Festival! And we still have
one more night of music to go! 🙂 Click to see all the photos I took at MPMF.14!

Christian Moerlein Tap Room.
A while back maybe even a while ago, Christian Moerlein opened up a taproom in their
brewery on Moore Street just off Liberty Street. And as we don’t venture up that direction
very often at all, we thought we’d check it out since we were in the neighborhood for the
MidPoint Music Fest. We were looking for some Hudy Delights…
We didn’t find any Hudy Delights. But we did find some Christian Moerlein Helles!
We’ll have to come back up and check out their the Taproom’s store, Wiesnkoenig…
Really cool place, I love the old cavernous feel of the Christian Moerlein Taproom. 🙂

MPMF.14: Thursday.
This evening this MidPoint Music Festival got under way. We walked up to the center
of all the action, Midpoint Midway on 12th Street to pick up our wristbands.
And then we were off to Washington Park to see Chromeo all the way from Toronto…
There were a bunch of people at Washington Park…
From Washington Park to Main Street…
And onto MOTR…
For Fort Wayne’s Left Lane Cruiser…
And on to Mr. Pitiful’s…
To check out Goodbye June from Nashville…
And then off to the Taft Ballroom to hear Birmingham’s St. Paul and the Broken Bones…

Awesome first night of music at the MidPoint Music Festival! And we still have two more
nights to go! 🙂 Click to see all the photos I took at MPMF.14!
