Thanksgiving breakfast.

Genifer made Pillsbury Magic Crescent Rolls for us for breakfast this morning…

Hopefully, they’ll do better when we go to the game next Wednesday. :/

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

I brought my peeps at Deskey in a pumpkin pie today to celebrate Thanksgiving Eve!
Pumpkin pie for my peeps @Deskey courtesy of Frisch's Big Boy...
Another pumpkin pie courtesy of Frisch’s Big Boy! I think Donald approves. 🙂

Pumpkin pie from Frisch’s Big Boy.

“Frisch’s Big Boy has been baking pumpkin pie from the same closely guarded secret recipe and the best-available, highest-quality ingredients for over 50 years. Famous for the flaky, handmade pastry crust, creamy pumpkin filling and the perfect balance of special spices, Frisch’s pumpkin pie is a dessert worthy of even the most deserving individuals.”

We were given a gift card to try one of these delicious pumpkin pies. We tried on a couple of different occasions to sample the goodness for ourselves. But they were surprisingly all sold out. So we’re thinking that those must be some really incredible pumpkin pies. You know, they say that good things come to those who wait. And that absence makes the heart grow fonder. And it’s very, very true. Because tonight, we finally got to take home a Frisch’s Big Boy pumpkin pie to enjoy for ourselves. And it was well worth the wait…

And that is some of the best pumpkin pie I’ve had ever had. Thanks to Frisch’s Big Boy and the Powers Agency for hooking us up with a delicious pumpkin pie. You should definitely pick up a couple, three pies for your Thanksgiving celebrations.

You’ll be thankful you did. 🙂

A post-hockey nightcap.

After the Cyclones 7-3 win, we stopped into Nicholson’s for a nightcap…

Cyclones hockey game #3!

Tonight, we walked down to US Bank Arena to watch our Cyclones square off against my hometown, Kalamazoo KWings on Simpson’s night…

The Cyclones and KWings combined for more goals in this hockey game than there were points scored in the Virginia–Wake Forest college football game earlier in the afternoon. Wake Forest finally beat Virginia tech 6-3 in double overtime. This hockey game certainly was a lot more fun to watch than that snoozer of a football game. 🙂

Rhinehaus.

Today, we walked up to Rhinehaus to watch this weekend’s massive Barclay’s Premire League match between Manchester United and my beloved, Arsenal…

Arsenal ended up losing 2-1 on a goal that took a very unfortunate deflection off of Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs. :/ But it was still a bunch of fun to watch the match in a bar packed full of soccer fans. 🙂

Igby’s two-year anniversary party.

Tonight, we went to the two-year anniversary party for Igby’s

It’s hard to believe Igby’s has only been around for two years. It feels like it’s been part of downtown forever. Great place. Great night. 🙂

And we got $20 in 4EG gift cards just for showing up!

You can’t beat that. 🙂

Snowmageddon.

Apparently, winter is upon us. This morning we woke up to find downtown coated in a pretty substantial layer of the white stuff. It was our first significant snow of the season…

Brrr. And ugh. Definitely, ugh. We’re really not ready for winter yet. :/

Look at all the stuff you can put in your front lawn to celebrate the holidays…

Ugh. :/
