We went over to Fountain Square for lunch at the Tuesday Strauss & Troy Market. Geez. The lines were really long, and we ended getting something to eat elsewhere. (Note to self: Get to the Square earlier on Tuesdays.) But while we were there, we couldn’t help but notice the MLB All-Star Game branding that is popping up all around downtown. Just 14 days until the 2015 All-Star Game…



Apparently, there are a number of these photo stations positioned around downtown…


And then was also this bridge over Walnut Street…

This is exciting! 🙂

Reds game #21 of the season. And it was game one of a very rare series against the Minnesota Twins. The last time I saw the Twins play at GABP was June 2012…


The new scoreboard in right field was in place, but wasn’t yet operational…

We spent a long weekend visiting my parents up in Michigan…

But the best part was getting to hang out with my parents. It was a really great visit home.

Today, we cashed in on just our third free LaRosa’s pizza of this Reds season. We picked up free pizza number 3 courtesy of Reds game 18/40, the epic 13 inning rain-delayed win over the Tigers when the Reds pitcher’s combined for 13 strikeouts…

We stumbled across another Reds MLB All-Star Game mustache that have been placed all around downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky! This one just showed up in front Abraham Lincoln at Lytle Park today…

Michael Lorenzen delivered one of the best starts of his young career for the Reds, allowing just two runs in seven innings. He also contributed an RBI single. We stopped into Richter & Phillips this morning to look at engagement rings…

And we found the one that we both love…

Except Genifer wants the center stone to be a sapphire, and we’ll need to find a better wedding band. A variety of sapphire are on their way to Cincinnati right now! This is so exciting! Taken with Instagram. 🙂

The Reds game got over so quick that we were still able to make it to Fountain Square just in time to hear the last band of this week’s Midpoint Indie Summer, Black Signal.










You can’t beat all the free music on the Square. 🙂

Reds game 19/40. Reds versus Miami Marlins. Irish Heritage Night at GABP.


Mike Leake was on point for the Reds tonight. He retired the first 13 batters he faced, ultimately he set the tone for the Redlegs throwing seven innings of two-hit ball.
