Reds versus Philadelphia Phillies. Game three of the three game series. Reds had taken the first two. Last night, Joey Votto hit three home runs. We were hoping that he could pick up where he left off…









Ivan De Jesus Jr. hit a three-run homer off Phillies starter Jerome Williams. Bryan Pena went 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Reds starter Jon Moscot stifled the Phillies for six innings. And then it was time for the Cuban Missile…



We’re not getting any free pizzas again…

The Illadelphia Illies came to town to play three against the Reds. Tonight was the 1000th regular season ballgame played at Great American Ball Park.

In the sixth inning, in just his fourth at bat of the season, Ivan De Jesus Jr. connected on a two-run homer for the first home run of his Major League career. The blast snapped a 3-3 tie, and later Zack Cozart added a solo shot. They led the Reds to their first ever win against Phillies pitcher Cole Hammels, 6-4! Great night at the ballpark! Back again. Reds game number 15 of the season. Reds versus Padres again. Hopefully, the Reds would do better than they did against the Padres last night…

Soooo close to free pizza…

The Reds took a 7-3 lead into the seventh inning until former Red Yonder Alonso hit a game-tying grand slam off Jumbo Diaz, and then Matt Kemp, who finished with five RBIs, hit a go-ahead two-run single i the eighth to give the Padres the lead.

San Diego would go on to win the game 9-7. And we didn’t even get free pizza.

After the game, we stopped by the Fox Sports Ohio condominium, and Genifer got this photo with Jim Day!

And we added another bobblehead to our ever-growing Reds bobblehead family…

Our fourteenth Reds game of the season so far. Reds versus Padres.

It was a beautiful night for baseball…

Until it started pouring…

Because why wouldn’t it rain at Reds game we went to?





The rain stopped after an hour and nine minutes…




And the Reds lost 6-2.


But at least there were some Reds Friday night fireworks…

Tonight, we drove out to the east side of Cincinnati to meet up with our friends Scott and Kathy to check out Mt. Carmel Brewing Company. Mt. Carmel was having a “date night” event with the tapping of their new Peanut Butter Banana Brown Ale complete with Elvis impersonators out on their amazing patio…

The Peanut Butter Brown was pretty dang incredible! And the Elvis impersonators sounded dead on. But we were a little bummed he wasn’t dressed in full Elvis regalia…

Chef Alfio brought out some delicious empanadas…







And we got a growler of their incredible Coffee Brown Ale to go…

We shared The Italian, which was basically a supreme pizza…

You know, I never really thought of RB as a pizza place. But after tonight, I definitely do! Great pie and always great beers!
