Tonight was the final Wet Wednesday on the Cyclones regular season. We felt it was our
civic duty as good Cincinnatians to go cheer the Cyclones to victory and drink their $1 beer.

The Cyclones were first to put the biscuit in the basket, and actually held the Chicago
Express scoreless in the first period. That means, FREE CHILI FOR EVERYONE! Hooray!

Check this out…

Most. Incredibly. Awesome. Mullet. I’ve ever seen. In my entire life.

People really love free stuff…

In the third period, we noticed that there were three birds flying around inside US Bank Arena.

The Cyclones won 4-1!

The Cyclones games are always a lot of fun. 🙂

We have green thumbs.
We’ve been patiently growing three little planters of grass just for fun.
First is our GABP Reds grass we got from a promotional giveaway last season…

And then we started growing Svensk some sweet cat grass…
And finally, a little frog planter that we got at Target for a dollar…

Growing stuff is kind of fun. Who knew?

The Silver Ladle.
Today was The Silver Ladle‘s official opening on Sixth Street’s Restaurant Row. So I
stopped in with some co-workers to check it out. I got the Stuffed Mushroom burger.

It was delicious. And I’ll definitely be back. Very soon. And when I stop back in, I’ll be
sure to get some photos of the interior. I was so excited to finally check this place out
that I completely forgot my camera. Anyway, it’s another great addition to Restaurant Row.

St. Patrick’s Sunday.
We walked down to Holy Grail for lunch and to watch some basketball.
And guess what… They had Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy on tap!
Spring must be officially here. Finally. While we were sitting on Holy Grail’s patio,
we kept hearing music off in the distance. After we were done, we wandered off
to try to figured out where the music was coming from. It turns out there was live
Irish music at Smale Riverfront Park next to Moerlein Lager House…

There always something fun going on in downtown Cincinnati.

Cafe de Wheels.
When we were walking home, we stumbled across our friends, Cafe de Wheels.

I love how they just pop-up everywhere. 🙂

Bartini’s…. Tapas sliders.
We stopped to have a drink and relax on Bartini’s patio. We were sitting there sipping our drinks…
When our server dropped off some delicious-looking sliders, compliments of the new chef, Dana…

And there were indeed delicious cheesy and seasoned to perfection. The side of onion strings were
the perfect accompaniment. I knew Bartini’s had small plates but I had no idea they were this good!
We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other items.

The funky drummer drumming.
When we were leaving Fountain Square, we heard what sounded like a marching band
playing about a block away. When we went to check it out, it was just two guys…

You never know what you’ll stumble across in downtown Cincinnati.
