We didn’t get Jack’d.

Genifer had a work fundraiser at Jack Casino this evening. She picked me up at work. I dropped her off at the Casino. Took the car home and hung out with the dogs for a bit. Then I walked down to catch the Metro 17 bus to the Casino. There was a really big moon while I was waiting for the bus…

I didn’t have to wait very long before I was on the bus back downtown…

And in no time, I was at JACK Casino…

And we didn’t get Jack’d. When Genifer was done, we wandered around a bit, watched people play some craps, had a few drinks, caught an Uber and came home with money still in our pockets. 😀♥️♠️♦️♣️❤️

Rhinegeist Charitable Suds.

Genifer picked me up from work this evening and we went up to Rhinegeist in Over-the-Rhine for Charitable Suds…

Every Wednesday for 5-8pm, Rhinegeist donates $1 from every draft beer sold in their taproom to a different charitable organization. And they call it Charitable Suds. This week’s organization was Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services were Genifer works in Human Resources…

So we thought we would do our part and have a beer… you know, for charity…

Every time I’ve been in Rhinegeist, I’m always so impressed by the space…

Genifer’s co-workers are really nice,and it was a really good time. 😀🍺🍻❤️

Are you ready for some football?

NFL is back in action. We walked down to Second Place to watch the Bengals game…

To celebrate the start of another season of impending disappointment, Second Place was hosting a Bengals Tailgate Kick-Off Party complete with a cookout…

All the proceeds from the cookout were donated to help those suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey down in Houston. What a delicious way to help…

We were sitting next to the popcorn machine at watching the popcorn pop was way more exciting than the Bengals game…

The Bengals were playing the Ravens. In Cincinnati. And of course, the Bengals lost their opening game of the season, 20-0. The Ravens picked off Bengals QB Andy Dalton FOUR times and forced him to fumble as well. The Red Rider BB gun, ladies, and gentleman. The Bengals are about as good at football as they are at math…

Welcome back football! Thank goodness we’re Cowboys fans! 😀🏈❤️

Pizzeria Locale for a good cause.

To celebrate their car passing over 200,000 miles on the odometer and not having any more car payments, Becky and Bob generously bought all of Deskey lunch from at Pizzeria Locale, a new Chipotle-style chain pizza joint in Kenwood…

It was really good stuff! Pizzeria Locale was having a promotion today where if you mentioned UpSpring (a non-profit that works to keep Greater Cincinnati children experiencing homelessness connected to their education), the organization received 50%. And the pizza pie was delicious too! That’s what I call a win-win! 😁🙌🍕

Hustle Home Run Derby.

On this rainy Thursday evening, we went up into Over-the-Rhine to Rhinegeist

They were hosting their Hustle Home Run Derby for a Cause…

unnamed

It was the launch of Rhinegeist’s Hustle Rye Pale Ale, and wiffle ball home run derby! A $5 donation got participants 10 swings and the chance to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. All proceeds benefit Bow Tie Cause and Butler County Challenger Baseball

Prizes included a limited edition Rhinegeist-branded bat from Louisville Slugger, free tickets to the Galloping Pig annual polo event and Rhinegeist merch. There were also ballpark style hot dogs provided by Dutch’s Larder…

With the launch of Rhinegeist’s Hustle Rye Pale Ale, you got to take home a Hustle pint glass for $1 with the purchase of a Hustle Rye Pale Ale…

I think I’ve just found a brand new favorite pint glass for Reds baseball season!

And then it was finally my turn…

I didn’t hit any home runs. I made some good contact but had a couple of swings and misses too. Still, it was a blast of an evening. Bring on baseball season! 🙂
