Cincinnati Metro. Wishing you a Merry Christmas. 🙂

It was really cold and snowy outside and as a result, we had a pretty low-key weekend.
On Saturday night, we walked over to the Penguin Dueling Piano Bar. And on the way
over there, we couldn’t believe the number of people waiting in line to go ice skating
on Fountain Square. The line went all the way back past the fountain…

The Penguin is always fun on a Saturday night…




And on Sunday, all we did was watch a bit of football at Rock Bottom…



Sometimes it’s nice to have a low-key weekend where we just lay around…

And the only thing to show for your weekend are just a handful of kinda blurry of photos.
It doesn’t happen very often in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

We stopped into Rock Bottom again for a beer and watch a little Thursday night football.
And found out that our server was saving one of two remaining Pumpkin Ale growlers for us.

Membership has it’s privileges. 🙂

We could see our little Christmas tree in our window when we were walking home from
the Downtown Cincinnati Inc. holiday reception this evening…

And the Westin’s Fountain Room is a really pretty venue for a holiday party…


It was quite the honor to get to rub elbows with a bunch of downtown Cincinnati big wigs. 🙂

Tonight, my parents stopped by for the night in Cincinnati on the way back from their
latest Caribbean cruise. We went to Rock Bottom Brewery. It was pint night and we all
got a free pint glass. I got this one one their new seasonal beer on tap, Winter Tartan.

We got to watch the Michigan-Duke basketball game together, and see all of their wonderful
vacation photos. It’s always good to see them, no matter how short the visit. 🙂

This evening Genifer cooked us an amazing Thanksgiving dinner part two…

This evening was the first Macy’s Downtown Dazzle of the holiday season…

Everyone was eagerly awaiting for Santa to repel off down the side of this building…










And it wouldn’t be a Downtown Dazzle without fireworks…













And there was a little ChristKindlMarkt on the Square as well…


We’ll have to come back another day and check out the ChristKindlMarkt. The Macy’s
Downtown Dazzle takes place on the Square for the next two Saturdays in December.
It’s just not the holidays without see the Downtown Dazzle at least once. 🙂

After “The Game,” we went to Rock Bottom Brewery to drown our sorrows in nachos…

Rock Bottom’s nachos are really pretty incredible! Just like that game. Soooo close. 🙂
