Ohio’s first publicly owned water system operated from 1865-1907 at Sawyer Point.

Any ideas?

We pass this sculpture almost every day when we walk through Sawyer Point. I have no
idea what it is, what it signifies or what it commemorates. I was there was a little plaque
on it to explain it’s significance or relevance or just why it’s there.

Kitteh suddenly falls asleep.

LOL. This is the cutest thing I’ve seen since Milan saw his first squirrel at the park today.
Wait… That was cute until he sat under the tree the squirrel was in and refused to budge
for 30 minutes.

Cincinnati Half Bridge.

The last few times I’ve driven to Genifer’s house I’ve noticed this really cool looking
castle-like building attached to a short bridge on the OHio River…

According to HistoricBridges.org where this photo came from, the building is called
“Half Bridge.” I went to see if I could find it and grab a photo or two…

I’ll have to try to get some better shots when I’m not wearing flip-flops. Further down the
road, there was the Newport Pump House. I love the look of the these old buildings…

There are more photos of both buildings at HistoricBridges.org.

Here they come!

Hey, hey! They’re The Monkees. And they were at the Aronoff Center tonight for the
Cincinnati stop on their 45th anniversary tour. I don’t really know many of their songs
but the first ever cassette tape (remember those?) Genifer ever owned was a Monkees
album. She was super excited that they were going to play in Cincinnati. So away we go…
