The last few times I’ve driven to Genifer’s house I’ve noticed this really cool looking
castle-like building attached to a short bridge on the OHio River…
According to HistoricBridges.org where this photo came from, the building is called
“Half Bridge.” I went to see if I could find it and grab a photo or two…
I’ll have to try to get some better shots when I’m not wearing flip-flops. Further down the
road, there was the Newport Pump House. I love the look of the these old buildings…
There are more photos of both buildings at HistoricBridges.org.

/ June 27, 2011Love that bridge! Wandering around Newport as a kid, I took those kinds of sightings for granted. Some of those old places are gone now….The Wagon Bridge was always my favorite, since I played under, on and around it. We lived next door. Today, it is a park….love your photos. See you at Poms!
