Today at lunch time on Fountain Square was Food Truckin’ for Josh Cares. Eight food
trucks lined the Square to serve lunch and do some good. All proceeds went to support
Josh Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, companionship and
comfort to critically or chronically ill children so they don’t suffer through lengthy hospital
stays feeling alone when their families aren’t able to stay with them.

And people turned out in droves pack to the Square. We went around 12:30, and I don’t
think there was a food truck that had a line with fewer than 20-25 people in it.



We made our way to New Orleans To Go on the far because they had no line. But that was
because they were already all sold out of all their food stuffs. We decided the frequency
that we get to see all these food trucks that it was kind of silly to wait in the huge lines.
After all, who are we to hog the food trucks all the time. Other people deserve to experience
the joy and deliciousness of the Cincinnati Food Trucks as well. So we made our small
donation, and moved on in hopes of finding a lunch spot that wasn’t wall-to-wall people…

Such a great cause. I hope they raised a ton of money for Josh Cares. 🙂

There was a thunderstorm scheduled to role through downtown Cincinnati this morning.
It was another really pretty morning, maybe even a little bit on the humid side when we
were out walking the dogs. But then as soon as I got to work, it got really dark.

And then it started pouring so hard that I couldn’t even see the buildings across downtown.


There they are… Whew!

And then an hour later, it was sunny again.

Silly weather. 🙂

We went to another Party in the Park, or as we like to call it… Park in the Park tonight.


We talked to these guys for a bit…

TQL Urban Race. It’s a 5K urban obstacle run in downtown Cincinnati and OtR.





Park in the Park is always a fun way to spend a Wednesday evening. 🙂

We had another pizza party at work. This time it was for the people with May & June birthdays.

They pizza was from someplace in Newport, I think. It was just alright.

I wish the pizza would have been delicious Pizza Bomba pizza.

For lunch today, Genifer and I walked over to Fountain Square to find the Pizza Bomba truck.

Genifer had never tried Pizza Bomba‘s slices. She got a slice of Spinach Ricotta pizza.
It looked really good when she got it. And she said it was really delicious. I got a slice of
their Bacon pizza and a slice of their Real Italian Hero pizza…



Some pretty delicious and unique pies they have going on there! 🙂

Tonight was the Reds versus the Cardinals on ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball…













The game was tied 4-4 going into the top of the 10th inning and then the Reds bullpen
gave up seven runs. And that was pretty much that. Should have left in Chapman.

When we were at the grocery, I got this little egg filled with brightly colored dinosaurs.

Lt. Dan did not take too kindly to their arrival, despite them coming from the same company.

And things just kind of went all downhill from there.


Oh dear. Can’t we all just get along?

Okay, this is getting a bit ridiculous, Lt. Dan…

It was Pizza Thursday at work today. We were so busy they bought everyone pizza for lunch.




And you know how I feel about free pizza… YUM! 🙂

This evening we went down to another Party in the Park along the Ohio River…


We were surprised how many people were there what with the Reds Mat Latos bobblehead
night just down the street. But Party in the Park is always good Wednesday night fun.

We walked down to Great American Ball Park to see the Reds take on the Colorado Rockies
tonight. And I was so excited that I forgot to take my normal shot of the outside of GABP.


Homer Bailey was on the mound for the Reds tonight…


And it was bow-tie Tuesday in the Fox Sports Ohio broadcast booth…






We were getting close to more free pizza…



And with the score 4-3 in the 8th, we packed it in and walked for home. When we got home,
the Reds were losing 5-4. And that’s how the game would go on to finish.
