Genifer saw on Facebook that Red Sesame was going to be on Fountain Square this evening.

This evening we checked on the progress of the vegetable garden just outside of Fido Field.

The corn is growing…



There’s some sort of squash or gourd or something…

And on the other side of the fence, there are peas everywhere…

Genifer’s cousin, Coby was passing through Cincinnati on his way to a country music festival.





Cousins are cool to see, impossible to forget and true to your heart. 🙂

I can’t believe we were at the Reds game last Tuesday when Homer Bailey threw a no-hitter.
And he gave up just that one walk. Otherwise, we’d all be talking about Homer’s perfect game.

It’s surreal. We were in just the right place and exactly the right time! 🙂

We went over to Genifer’s brother’s on the Westside for their annual Fourth of July blowout.

Other than the nonstop rain that fell all day long, it was a pretty great Fourth of July. 🙂

We stopped into a Biggs-Remke grocery store of the Westside of Cincinnati this rainy
Fourth of July afternoon, and look what we found…

A whole display rack of nothing but Little Golden Books. We had to buy some…

We ended up buying five books including The Pokey Little Puppy, The Shy Little Kitten,
The Little Red Hen and Scuffy the Tugboat. Awesome find! Makes me feel like a kid again.

Remember when the Main branch of the Cincinnati Public Library had that amazing exhibit
of original Little Golden Books artwork? That was pretty incredible too! 🙂
