Penn Station’s new BLT.
We have a confession. We love BLTs. And we really love Penn Station. When we heard
that Penn Station will soon be introducing a limited time only BLT, we jumped at the chance
to preview the new sammich before it was made available to the hungry masses…
“Penn Station’s BLT is loaded with thick-cut bacon, fresh lettuce, and roma tomatoes and
topped with Hellman’s mayonnaise (optional). For those who are bacon lovers, their BLTs
have one slice of bacon per inch of sandwich and are truly unique compared to others.”
And that is one tasty sammich! Lots of delicious bacon, just the perfect amount of lettuce,
tomatoes and mayonnaise all on that delicious Penn Station bread…
And you know what the best part of the sammich was?
The best part was that I still had a whole other half to enjoy!
I’m not sure when it’ll be available to the public. When it is, make sure you give it a try! 🙂

Deskey’s World Cup party.
We’re following the World Cup very closely at Deskey…
This afternoon, we had a World Cup viewing party for the USA versus Germany game…
There were a bunch of pizzas…
And there were also a wide array of dishes inspired by the countries from the World Cup… 
USA! USA! USA!
It made for a really fun afternoon. And the USMNT survived the “Group of Death” and now
advance to the Round of 16 to face Belgium on Tuesday at 4pm! #IBelieveThatWeWillWin

Unveiling the latest ArtWorks mural.
This morning John Cranley, the mayor of Cincinnati was just outside our office for the
unveiling of the latest of the ArtWorks murals to be painted in downtown Cincinnati…
The latest ArtWorks mural will be Cincinnatian Tom Wesselmann‘s Still Life #60…
And here’s what the finished mural will look like…
Pretty neat stuff. It’ll be interesting to watch this mural start to take shape over the summer
as I walk to and from work. I can’t wait to see the finished product. 🙂

#Dominono’s.
We were lucky enough to snag one of the free medium two-topping pizzas from Domino’s
and MLB.com thanks to the #DominoNo hitter thrown by Clayton Kershaw last week. We
couldn’t even begin to fathom a guess when we last had a pizza from Domino’s. I know I
haven’t had one since I’ve lived in Cincinnati. That pushes me back a good ten years. So
needless to say, it’s been a while. Tonight, we cashed in on that free #DominoNo’s pizza.
And tried a few of Domino’s other offerings.
Here’s our order sitting on the counter at Domino’s…
It didn’t seem like that much food when we were ordering it.
This is their cheesy bread. It was a lot cheesier than it looked…
Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple specialty chicken. Very spicy but also very tasty…

Our FREE sausage and mushroom pizza…
Very tasty stuff! And we got a Supreme Feast pizza…
It was very good as well. Even though there wasn’t any sauce on the pizza.
We would definitely order more pizzas from Domino’s. I think I might have developed
a craving for that Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple specialty chicken. Tasty, tasty stuff! 
And thanks again to Clayton Kershaw, MLB.com and Domino’s for the free pie! 🙂

World Cup on the Square.
We stopped by the World Cup viewing party on Fountain Square for USA v. Portugal…
There were definitely some people there to support the USA!
We watched the first on the Square. And watched the second half at Nicholson’s. What a
heartbreaker. Just thirty seconds away from the win and advancing to the knock stage. 😦
The USMNT has everything to play for on Thursday at noon against Germany.
#IBelieveThatWeWillWin! USA! USA! USA!

The quest for a bicycle.
We’ve been talking about getting a bicycle for Genifer for a while now. This afternoon,
we ran around all over Northern Kentucky looking at bicycles. There were a lot of nice
bikes but we didn’t find that one that was “The Bike.” So we’ll keep looking. And running
around looking at bikes works up an appetite, we stopped at The Pub in Crestview Hills
for something to eat and to catch up on today’s exciting World Cup action…
