This afternoon, we celebrated all our fellow coworker’s summer birthdays at Deskey…

With a bunch of Abby Girl Sweets cupcakes. YUM! 🙂

Coming into tonight’s game, the Reds had won just one game since play resumed after
the All-Star game. Sigh. The Arizona Diamondbacks were in town to pick up some wins…



Leake was pitching tonight for the Reds…

BARGE!



And here’s something new that Reds tv announcer, Thom Brennaman observed during
yesterday’s Reds game broadcast. Yesterday, fans starting flickering the flashes on their
phones to make the whole ballpark twinkle. Why? I have no earthly idea. But it happened
again at tonight’s ballgame as Jonathan Broxton was entering the game…

Chapman picked up a strikeout to extend his consecutive appearances with a strikeout
streak to 44 games. But thankful he didn’t strikeout the side. We don’t know if we could
do another free pizza right now. We’re a bit pizza’d out at the moment. #FirstWorldProblems







So we ended up seeing BOTH Reds wins during this six game home stand. We’re now
13-9 at the Reds games we’ve gone to so far this season. 🙂

It seems like we were just at the ballpark. But we’re back for church, and the final game
of the Reds v. Nats weekend series…

The start of the game was delayed 15 minutes by a light sprinkle. And it was overcast
for the rest of the afternoon…

Latos was on the hill for the Reds…

And Jack Hannahan was back on the field for the first time this season after a lengthy
stint on the DL with a shoulder injury…




There’s a barge back there behind the PNC Power Stacks…

See? BARGE!

Today, they combined the live Reds mascot race and the Nat’s President’s Race into a
Reds mascot v. Nats presidents relay race…






That was about all entertainment that happened at this Reds game. Oh, I had a peanut
with three peanuts inside…

Yep. It was one of those sorts of games today. It was the first Gospel Day at GABP…


Not a chance in the world that there was even half that many people at the ballpark today.


The sun was making a valiant effort to come out…

Mesorocket doubled…






I felt bad for the Gospel Day performers because GABP quickly became a ghost town…

And the Reds have now lost 8 of 9 since after the All-Star break.

The Reds hadn’t won since before the All-Star break, being swept by both the Yankees
and then the Brewers. They dropped the first game of this weekend’s series against the
Nationals last night. So coming into today’s game, they’ve dropped seven in a row. We
were hoping we’d be good luck and they could break their losing streak…

The Nats brought their racing presidents in town with them…




William Howard Taft came in out of nowhere to take out Abe and George…



And Teddy won! Apparently, Teddy NEVER wins…

Pena singled in Heisey from second to give the Reds a 1-0 lead…







Broxton is a big boy almost big as a… BARGE!!!


And then in the ninth…


This warrants a quick check of the strikeout situation…

We needed two strikeouts for free pizza!











And because I forgot grab this shot on the way in, we got it on the way out…

Reds snapped their losing streak. And we got ANOTHER free pizza! It was another really
good day at the ballpark! 🙂

Shouldn’t be very look now. At all. We can’t wait to eat up all their BBQ! 🙂

Today was OFFF Cincinnati. And I got to go to check out all the creative presentations
at the Aronoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan Theater…

It was an amazing day of incredibly creative presentations.

I’ve never been more inspired to create amazingly creative work at the level of today’s
incredible presenters at OFFF Cincinnati! 🙂

I ran over to Cheapside again for lunch today…



I got this turkey sammich with bacon, cucumbers, swiss cheese and pimento spread…

It was delicious but the crust on the bread tore the roof of my mouth something fierce.
It was also a bit steep at $8.50 for just the sammich without any chips, a small salad
or even a pickle.
