Back in April, we had two sets of tickets to the same game. So we swapped out our
season ticket seats for tickets to today’s game. We choose today’s game because it
was the last weekday day game of the season. We thought it would be fun to go to the
last Thursday day game of the year. It was also the last time the Reds would play the
Milwaukee Brewers this season. Hit the fast forward button until right now and who
knew that I would be slammed this week at work? There’s no way I could take the
whole afternoon off to watch a baseball game. So we just ran down to the ballpark
to have lunch, and take in a few inning of the ball game.

We didn’t even bother to go up to our seats.

We just went out to right field to stand watch a bit of the game.

There was nobody in the upper deck…

Nobody…

We had some dogs for lunch…


It wa beautiful day for a ball game. Not a cloud in the sky.


Mr. Reds Race took place right in front of us…

Genifer was on the big screen during the race as we cheered on our mascots…



When we left, the Reds had just taken 3-2 lead. And they would go on to win 5-2! And
eliminate the Brewers from the playoff picture. I tell you what… It sure was hard to leave
GABP to go back to work but at least we got to see a few innings of a Reds win! 🙂

We have tickets to just one more game. 😦 The final game of the season this Sunday. :,(

We went back to GABP for our 34th Reds game of the season. Brewers versus Reds.
It was nice to watch a Reds-Brewers game in the friendly confines of GABP. And it was
beautiful night for a baseball game…





Exit the Reds pitcher Daniel Corcino after just 4.1 innings after giving up two runs and
throwing two consecutive wild pitches to the backstop…

Enter JJ Hoover…

Oh dear…

With the bases loaded and only one out…


Earlier in the season this where Hoover would have served up the grand slam…

But he got out of the inning without giving up any more runs. BARGE!

Enter Ryan “Don’t call me Pan” Dennick…


And he gave up three more runs in the eighth.

27000?

I call shenanigans…

Maybe the 7000 part was right.

Ye-ah. It was one of those nights…

BARGE!!

And that’s the ball game…




And that’s just how this season has been going. The Reds got just two hits. Again.

We went to Moerlein Lager House again for their Monday night Blues, Brews & BBQs…

Just look at that plate of meat…

And we got the angry mac & cheese and an extra corn cake…

Delicious stuff! 🙂

This evening we checked out the Oktoberfest Zinzinnati’s Friday night UberDrome down
at Moerlein Lager House on the Jacob G. Schmidlapp Event Lawn. The Uberdrome was
being billed as an authentic Munich style beer tent. And it didn’t disappoint…
