Yesterday, I was asked to participate in a focus group at Rock Bottom Cincinnati during lunchtime. It was pretty cool to be able to give feedback to help shape a great downtown spot going forward. For my participation, I received a $25 gift card and $25 cash. Not too shabby for an hour of my time. Tonight, we cashed in that $25 gift card for a delicious dinner. Genifer ordered the Brewer’s Cobb Salad…
And I ordered one of my favorites, RB Ale Chicken…
Really great stuff. Rock Bottom has always been one of our favorites. Their food is always delicious, always consistent, and we always have a really good time every time we visit. 🙂
All posts for the month September, 2015
Dinner was on Rock Bottom tonight.

OFFF Cincinnati.
OFFF is the annual festival celebrating the close relationship between contemporary art, creative thought and digital technology. OFFF has become a famous breeding ground for pioneering artists who are crossing genres and inventing the future of the creative process. Deskey was an OFFF Cincinnati partner again this year. And once again, I was lucky enough to get to go over to the Aronoff Center to check out OFFF Cincinnati 2015. Unfortunately, this morning I missed B-Reel, Lo Siento, Field and Moment Factory. But I still got to see most of the afternoon sessions. Deskey made a bunch of really cool OFFF buttons. But by the time I got to the Aronoff, there were only just a couple left…
And everyone in attendance received one of these incredible books authored by OFFF founder Hector Ayuso about the Spanish Postdigital Creation Culture…
I got to see the presentation by a visual communications studio called Mucho…
Really great work from Mucho! Next up was a presentation from Territory Studio, an independent, creative agency in London…
Territory created the main titles for OFFF Cincinnati 2015…
Here’s a better view where you can actually see the ridiculous amount of detail…
Territory did all the UI screen graphics for movies like Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy. Really cool stuff!

Last but not least was a presentation from Laika. Laika was the creative force behind computer generated, stop-motion and cel animated films such as Caroline, Paranorman and The Boxtrolls…

I always leave feeling very inspired and creatively recharged after all the incredible presentations at OFFF Cincinnati! 🙂

Reds game 45/40.
Reds game 45/40. After a 2 hour and 31 minute rain delay, we walked down to GABP to watch the Reds take on the Cubs for our last night game at GABP of the season…
By the time we got down to the ballpark, the Reds were already losing 4-0.
Javier Baez was playing for the Cubbies tonight…
Could it be? Were we going to get free pizza #7 of this Reds season?
THEY DID IT! Free pizza for everyone!!!
We’ve definitely done our part to support the Reds until the bitter end…
CHAPMAN!!!
It was still 4-0 when we decided to pack it in well passed mignight…
After we left, Joey Votto did extend his on-base streak to 46 games. The Cubs ended up winning 4-1. And the Reds losing streak was extended to 10 games. Click to see all the photos I took at Reds game 45/40.

Bengals Tailgate at Fountain Square.
We walked over to the Bengals Tailgate at Fountain Square…
And what goes well with football? Delicious Skyline cheese coneys…
The Bengals ended up beating the Ravens, 28-24. But I spent most of the game staring at the ticker at the bottom of the screen because Fantasy Football. 🙂
After the game, we walked up to Krueger’s Tavern for their amazing beer cheese…
Now that’s what I call a great postgame celebration! 🙂

Reds game 44/40.
Reds game 44/40. Reds versus Mets. Come to find out if the Mets won this afternoon, they would clinch the NL East for the first time since 2006…
BARGE!
BARGE!!
And the Mets would go on to win, 10-2. And clinch the NL East…
Congrats to the Mets for clinching their first NL East title sine 2006. With the exception of Todd Frazier, it’s nice that somebody actually won something at GABP this year.
As we were leaving the Mets came back out on to the field to celebrate with their fans that travelled to see them play…

Reds game 43/40.
It feels like we haven’t been to a baseball game in about month. And it was a beautiful night for a baseball game…
There weren’t very many people at GABP. Not many at all…
And it was hard as heck to find a Miller Lite tonight…
Jay Bruce hit a home run to the Sun/Moon Deck out in right field, and some lucky person actually won the Toyota Tundra that’s been on display all season long…
We headed for home in ninth…
