It was once again, yet another great season of Reds baseball! And where the Reds had a disappointing season on field, this was definitely a baseball season to remember for us. Going to our first Redfest, getting out Phoenix to see three Reds Spring Training games, getting to take part in all the All-Star Week festivities: FanFest, the Futures Game, the Summer Block Party, the All-Star Concert, the Home Run Derby and of course, the 86th MLB All-Star Game. We got to go to the Reds Season ticket holder photo day. And sandwiched in around all of that, we set a new personal record high for Reds games attended in a season at 46 Reds games this year at GABP including the night the Power Stack caught on fire. We picked up EIGHT free LaRosa’s pizzas thanks to #Ks4LaRosas. It was a really special season of Reds baseball. And I can’t believe it’s over already. 😦

No, no. Thank you, Reds. Thank you for a summer filled with wonderful baseball memories that will last us a lifetime! And we can’t wait to see you next season! 🙂

I won three of the five Fantasy Baseball Leagues I played this season! I had a combined record of 91-15-1 on the season including one league where I went 19-1-1, and another league where I went an impressive 22-1 with the only loss coming in the first week! Fantasy baseball is fun. 🙂

After the grocery, we swung through LaRosa’s to pick up our SEVENTH free pizzas of the season courtesy of last Tuesday’s late night Reds loss to the Cubs…

After Michigan knocked off Maryland 28-0 (#GoBLUE!), we went over to Flipdaddy’s in Newport, Kentucky to get a late lunch, and watch more of the Saturday football games…

We had a couple of Rhinegeist’s link textSquirrel English Brown Ales. Finally, a Rhinegeist beer that I actually enjoyed drinking. Genifer ordered Flipdaddy’s quesadilla…

I ordered the Cincinnati Sunrise, a burger topped with a Goetta patty and fried egg…

It might just be my brand new favorite burger right now. It was awesome!

After lunch, we went to the grocery. I don’t know why more penguins aren’t just in point of purchase advertising. Penguins are so stinkin’ cute…

Yep. It was a pretty low-key Saturday. And it was just what the doctor ordered. 🙂

There was a blimp hovering just north of downtown this evening. It must have been in town for the big Cincinnati Bearcats football win over “The U.” Taken with Instagram. 🙂

Reds game 46/40. The Reds last home game of the season. And wouldn’t you know, it was a cold, rainy overcast afternoon. The perfect end to a Reds season that fell well short of expectations but still one that was chuck full of wonderful memories.

Joey Votto extended his on-base streak to 47 straight games. It’s the longest streak in MLB this season!

The Reds would go one to lose the game 5-3, and extend their losing streak to 12 games.

Geez. Can you believe it’s already October? Where has our summer gone?

Yesterday, I was asked to participate in a focus group at Rock Bottom Cincinnati during lunchtime. It was pretty cool to be able to give feedback to help shape a great downtown spot going forward. For my participation, I received a $25 gift card and $25 cash. Not too shabby for an hour of my time. Tonight, we cashed in that $25 gift card for a delicious dinner. Genifer ordered the Brewer’s Cobb Salad…

And I ordered one of my favorites, RB Ale Chicken…

Really great stuff. Rock Bottom has always been one of our favorites. Their food is always delicious, always consistent, and we always have a really good time every time we visit. 🙂
