I ducked out work for a long lunch to take in Reds game 38/40 against the Dodgers…
We met Mr. Peanut…
That’s not creepy at all.

The Dodgers Yasiel Puig…

Monday, the Reds had a 10-run 6th inning…
Today, the Dodger’s Zack Greinke hurled a four-hitter over seven scoreless innings outdueling Anthony DeSclafani, who gave up just one run on six hits over seven s well. Time for the Cuban Missle…

Chapman loaded the bases with no outs…
And with that, it was time to go back to work…
But he managed to get himself out of it. But the game ended up losing, 1-0.

Free LaRosa’s pizza #6.
Free LaRosa’s pizza number SIX of this Reds season courtesy of last Sunday’s 4-0 Reds lose to the Diamondbacks…

YUM! Free makes pizza even more delicious! Thanks LaRosa’s! ๐

Reds Season Ticket renewal packet.
The Reds sent us this Season Ticket renewal packet for the 2016 baseball season…

I really wish this season would have been just a little bit closer to the end before I got hit up for tickets for next season. But we’ll definitely be getting season tickets again next season but probably just a 20-game pack, and then just pick up extra games as the season advances. Because the 40-game pack is A LOT of baseball. ๐

Another ArtWorks mural.
Remember when they were putting up the scaffolding across from my office on Eighth Street? Well… ArtWorks has partnered with The Mercantile Library and the McClain Foundation for another Cincinnati Master Mural. It will feature the somber work of Elizabeth Nourse. I guess the Mercantile Library has a large collection of her work…

I certainly hope they can manage to dig up a happy painting by Elizabeth Nourse. I might be the only one, but I think the ArtWorks murals are starting to get a bit out of hand. Not every blank wall in downtown needs to have an ArtWorks mural or CincyInk quote on it. But that’s just me.

Reds game 36/40.
After attending the Reds Season Ticket Holder Photo Day, we decided since we were already at the ballpark that we’d just stay for the game. We picked up a couple of $7 tickets at the North Ticket Office. Once we were back inside GABP, we made our way over the Fox Sports Ohio condominium to kill some time before the start of the ballgame by watching some Reds Live live and in person…
We were asked if we wanted to be on their pre-game game show, “So you think you’re a Reds fan?” but we decided that was just way too much pressure. We still made it on today’s edition of Reds Live…
We decided to watch the game from center field under the PNC Power Stacks…

Going into the fifth inning, Reds pitcher Raisel Iglesias has already fanned 11 DBacks…

Make that TWELVE K’s!
The Sunday Live Mr. Reds Race…

We saw Reds center fielder Ryan LaMarre get his first hit in the Majors…
And Raisel Iglesias struck out 11 batters. And that means…

When it was all said and done, Raisel Iglesias struck out 13 batters on the day, the most by a Reds rookie since 1967! WOW! He threw 7 innings, giving up just 2 runs on 3 hits with the 13 Ks and 3 BBs.
Trailing 2-0, the Reds brought in Jumbo Diaz for the eighth…
And he gave up two more runs, 4-0 DBacks.

And how it would end. Not gonna win many games when you can’t score a run.
Reds have now lost NINE in a row.

Reds game 35/40.
After Brew Ha-Ha, we headed over to the ballpark for Reds v. DBacks…

We don’t normally come into the ballpark from this side…

The Reds were honoring Tony Perez this weekend…

BARGE!
BARGE!!

Rosie was slumming it up in the upper deck tonight…

And the DBacks Paul GoldSchmidt chose tonight to snap out of a power slump…

BP was hanging out with the fans while the play was under review…

Arizona clinched the series with an 11-7 victory over the Reds. Arizona has taken all three games of the four game series so far to climb back to .500, while the Reds have lost eight in a row.

Brew Ha-Ha, part two.
Before tonight’s Reds game, we went back down to Brew Ha-Ha at Sawyer Point…
We wanted to get a couple more of Rivertowne’s Hala Kahiki’s…
And we wanted to try some Island Noodles. Yesterday, it smelled sooo good but the line was massive. Today the line wasn’t too bad & it moved really quick…

Really delicious stuff! And so filling. We shared one with teriyaki chicken and were stuffed!

Brew Ha-Ha is always fun. ๐

Midpoint Indie Summer Friday.
We broke camp from Brew Ha-Ha to head up to Fountain Square to check out this week’s big fun Midpoint Indie Summer Friday…

And the Indie Crafty Market was also taking place on the Square…

I thought tonight’s headlining band, San Fermin was one of the best of this season’s Midpoint Indie Summer bands so far. They have a really unique sound. And I’m particularly fond of their song, “Jackrabbit.”

The Friday night Midpoint Indie Summer’s on Fountain Square are always fun. ๐

Brew Ha-Ha, part one.
It’s that time of year! Time once again for Brew Ha-Ha at Sawyer Point…

Two of the best beers we tried out of this year’s batch were Founder’s Rubaeus, on the left, and Rivertowne’s Hala Kahiki…
Another really good beer we tried at Brew Ha-Ha was Southern Tier’s Warlock, which is kinda like a darker version of their incredible Pumpking…
And speaking of Pumpking…
YUM! Still one of the best pumpkin beers out there.

There were a lot of good beers and a bunch of funny comedians. Brew Ha-Ha at Sawyer Point is always a bunch of fun! ๐
