Reds game #34 of the season was against the Arizona Diamondbacks…

There weren’t very many people at tonight’s game. Not many at all.

The DBacks Paul Goldschmidt…

The Diamondbacks scored five unanswered runs to notch a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Reds to extend Cincinnati’s losing streak to six games.

Thunderstorming.
We made it back from our evening dog walk just before another monsoon broke out…

We’re really happy that we had tickets to last night’s Reds game and not tonights. π

B-Dubs.
Do these pizza people bring you rounds of beers, walls of televisions and fried pickles? Ohhhhh… You’re at B-DUBS? We finally went back to Buffalo Wild Wings in Newport this evening for the first time in a long time. The last time we were here the service was horrible. Stupid horrible. But we finally decided to give this particular B-Dubs another try. Genifer got boneless wings with mild and I got these honey bbq traditional wings…
The wings tasted especially good tonight. I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder. In the hit or miss world of B-Dubs, tonight was a hit. Taken with Instagram. π

Madeira’s Street Dance & Family Fest.
This evening we headed out to the ‘burbs to hang out with our friends Cory and Amy at the Street Dance & Family Fest in Madeira. After parking the car, this little guy kept telling me to run in the opposite direction. Was it an sign? Maybe. We’d never been to a street festival in Madeira before. Heck, I don’t think I’ve done anything in Madeira before. Suburban activities kind of freak me out a bit anymore.

What we couldn’t get over was just how cheap everything was. Beers were just $3 and food was even cheaper…
At stuff like this downtown beers are at least $5, usually $6…

They completely ran out of beer around 9pm…
And it was time to go.
We got a couple of hot dogs and a burger on the way out for just $6.50…

Ok the list of things I forgot to do was take a photo of all of us together. And take a photo of Cory and Amy’s ridiculous cute twins. In my defense, I was too busy playing with their adorable little baby feets. π
It was pretty fun to wander around the festival a bit. And Madeira seems like a nice place to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there. I just really love my downtown. π

The City Flea: August Edition.
It’s been more than a couple months since we’ve been up to Washington Park for an edition of The City Flea. We’ve had a busy summer of doing all sorts of fun stuff…
Washington Park has a new 2926 square foot concessions deck…

FC Cincinnati at Rhinehaus!
Genifer saw on the Facebooks that FC Cincinnati head coach and US soccer legend, John Harkes was going to be stopping into Rhinehaus in OtR on a tour of FCC’s pub partners. There was no way we could possibly pass up an opportunity to catch a glimpse, and maybe, just maybe meet one of our all-time favorite US soccer stars…

They’re here! And here we go. First to enter was assistant coach, Ryan Martin…
The man, the myth, the legend, John Harkes…

We ended up talking to John Harkes for a good ten or fifteen minutes. Such a nice guy.

FC Cincinnati President and GM, Jeff Berding said FCC has MLS aspirations…

It was such an amazing night! There just aren’t words to describe it. We couldn’t be more thrilled that Cincinnati has a brand new professional soccer team! And we can’t wait for the start of the inaugural season in the spring 2016! AND WE MET JOHN HARKES! π
