Rock Bottom’s Street Food.
Tonight, we stopped into Rock Bottom and ordered some snacks off their street food menu. We shared some Black Bean & Corn Flautas, Crispy Guacamole Tostadas, Jack-Stuffed Burger Sliders and Fish Mini Street Tacos…
It was all ready tasty stuff but the star of the show was those flautas. They were pretty amazing with all their crispy goodness! And washed it all down with one one of Rock Bottom’s delicious Kolsch craft beers. Great stuff! π

Like something straight out of Ghostbusters, part 2.
When we left home to walk the dogs this evening, the sky looked like this…
But then it started to look like something straight out of Ghostbusters…

Something funny happened to a couple of these photos…

I blame Zuul. Oh Zuuly, you nut. Now c’mon.

Thankfully, we made it all the way home before the skies opened up, and it started pouring monsoon-style. That was a close one! π

Lumenocity Village.
After SSoM, we wandered through Lumenocity Village at Washington Park…

The best part of Lumenocity Village? Corn dogs…
We shared two of them. And they were magnificent.
There were all sorts of people all waiting for the show to begin later…
We’re not really big on Lumenocity. Fighting massive crowds just to get a seat with an obstructed view from a randomly drawn ticket lottery. Ye-ah. We’re gonna pass.

Seven Hills and A Queen to Name Them.
There are a bunch of Artworks CincyInk: #InkYourLove murals scattered around Over-the-Rhine inspired by the CincyInk poem, “Seven Hills and A Queen to Name Them” crafted by Chase Public. We stumbled across a few while wandering around OtR today…

Pretty neat stuff. It’s interesting to see how various artists visually interpreted the poem. π

Second Sunday on Main: August.
We walked up Main Street into Over-the-Rhine to check out the August edition of Second Sunday on Main. The theme for this August’s SSoM was “EcoMAINia”.

Dominos for dinner.
During our Saturday of laziness, we decided to order some Dominos for dinner…
We got a medium pie. Half pepperoni and banana peppers, half sausage and ham…
Sweet BBQ specialty chicken…
And of course, we had to get their stuffed cheesy bread…
We really like Dominos. It’s not glamorous or trendy or the hot new thing. We just really like it. It’s always good. They deliver really fast, and it’s really reasonable. We got all this delicious food for right around $25. You can’t beat that. π

Pi Pizzeria minus the pizza.
We stopped into Pi Pizzeria again for lunch. But we didn’t get any pizza this time. We were going to just snack on some appetizers. We started Spicy Pickles and Pi Ravs…
Genifer insists that the Spicy Pickles are a new must order whenever we go to Pi from now on. I agree. They have just the right amount of heat. And are oh so tasty. The Pi Ravs were tasty too. Especially, the Berkshire Sausage filling. But they were really tough and chewy, difficult to cut and chewing them was a pretty labor intensive task. Good thing they tasted so good. We also got an order of Pi’s Oven Blazed Wings…
The rub on them is outstanding. Genifer craves that yogurt-cucumber dressing that comes with them. In my opinion, they are the real star of the show at Pi. And are some of the best wings in all of downtown Cincinnati. Sorry there mister…
Next time we eat at Pi, we’re going for the Spicy Pickles and the Oven Blazed Wings. It’s more than enough food for the both of to share. And we won’t leave feeling overstuffed. π

Another lunch at Nation.
We went back to Nation Kitchen for a late lunch this afternoon…

We shared the Whiskey Bacon burger with cheddar, bacon, bbq & apple slaw and a sidecar of loaded tots with cheddar, bacon, green onion & ranch sauce…

And of course, one of Nation’s amazing grilled cheeses…

You can’t beat lunch at Nation. π
