Back on Opening Day, the Reds pitchers combined to strikeout 13 Pirates. And lucky for us, LaRosa’s is once again doing their #Ks4LaRosas promotion this season!
You know the deal… Every time Reds pitchers combine for 11 strikeouts, every person with a ticket gets a free one topping pizza from LaRosa’s starting the next day. Yesterday, we got our tickets ticked for our first free LaRosa’s pizza of this Reds baseball season…
Tonight, we warmed pizzas up in the oven. And free makes LaRosa’s pizza taste even more delicious! I hope we get enough free pizzas to break our record of 11 free pizzas in 2013!
YUM! We’re so happy #Ks4LaRosas is back for yet another Reds season! A huge thanks to LaRosa’s and the Reds for making it happen! π

Today, we had tickets to our fourth game of the opening week of the 2015 Reds season…

The Reds ended up losing 7-5 in 11 innings. Click to see all the photos I took at Reds game 4/40 of the season.

Tonight, we went out to The Blind Pig to celebrate Genifer’s birthday!

Fun night. π

Reds game #3 for us was the first Saturday game of the season. We got down to the ballpark way earlier than we normally do to check out a couple of the new additions that Great American Ball Park has to offer this season…
But first we had to get out Toddfather bobblehead…

Then we were off to check out the big new Bootleggers Bar on the first base side of the terrace level…

And look what beer we found hiding in there…
21st Amendment’s Hell or High Watermelon Wheat!

And now off to check out the new Frybox across from Mr. Reds Smokehouse…

The Frybox offers up french fries covered in meat and other toppings…
Which, we’ll have to try soonish. As well as the infamous Chipper.

Johnny Beisbol…

And the Reds lost 4-1. But at least our Todd Frazier bobblehead found a new home…

Tonight, we went to see Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons at Cincinnati Music Hall…

Incredible show. Simply incredible. π

We walked through yet another of this week’s Cincinnati monsoon season torrential downpours to make our way up to the Gateway Quarter to have dinner at Krueger’s Tavern before heading over to Cincinnati Music Hall to see the one and only Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons live and in concert…

Incredible pre-show dinner. π

Tonight was Reds Opening Night. And of course, we had tickets…
After a 2 1/2 hour rain delay, we made our way down to GABP…

7:10 start time, 9:45 first pitch…

We hung in there and stayed at the game for as long as we could…

But we called it a night after the seventh inning stretch…

The Reds would go on to win the game 5-4 in the 11th inning at 1:45 in the morning! π

After stopping by Top of the Park, we headed down to take in my very Reds Opening Day ballgame live and in person. As you could expect, The Banks were packed with people…

I haven’t seen this big of a crowd all clambering to get inside GABP since game three of the 2010 NLDS, first postseason baseball played in Cincinnati in 15 years. And the first postseason game EVER at Great American Ball Park. It was just that nutty…
Welcome to Opening Day in Cincinnati, the birthplace of professional baseball…
The view from our seats. The view we’ll have for the next 40 games!

And here come your 2015 Cincinnati Redlegs…
Johnny Beisbol…
The first pitch of the 2015 Reds baseball season…
And if you were curious, it’s baaaaaaaaaack for another season…
Votto still has the wrong walk-up music…
Of course, the correct music would be… BARGE!
The rain was a coming…
We dodged the rain drops after the rain delay, and watched the rest of the game under the cover of Igby’s patio…
And the Reds opened the season on a winning note, 5-2! What a great Opening Day! π

We didn’t take in much of the 96th (or 96st) Reds Findlay Market Opening Day Parade. Not much at all. But we did happen to see the Budweiser Clydesdales near the end of the parade route of Fifth Street…

Those are some big, big horses. And you gotta love the dalmatian…
Best seat in the house. π
