It was overcast and surprisingly chilly this morning…

Today’s high was only 56 degrees. That’s not really the temperature that comes to mind when I think about Memorial Day weekend…

In years past, we’ve been sweating buns off as we’ve wandered around Taste of Cincinnati downtown…

Not this year. It feel like we skipped right over summer and went straight to fall.
But still, a chilly good morning from Northside…

There was a little bunny up at the top of the hill…

We were up super early this morning. After walking the dogs, we walked to Blue Jay for breakfast. But much to our surprise when we got to Blue Jay they didn’t open until 8am. We got to stare down this little alley between Blue Jay and Shake It Records for about ten minutes…

We had never noticed this little alley before today…

And then Blue Jay was open…

Breakfast at Blue Jay is always really good.

Later this afternoon, we walked down to Urban Artifact…

We met our friends Mehwish and Ben and their new little baby Aria. We hung out with the them, had a couple of beers and ate a bunch of Wildfire Pizza Kitchen pizzas…

On our way home, we stopped at Northside Tavern for a drink…

Good evening from Northside…

And then we sat on our back patio and watched Minnesota United draw with Real Salt Lake and the Grizzlies lose game three to Utah Jazz.

And other than the sports scores, we had a pretty good Saturday.
