Taste of Michigan.

My parents came down from Michigan to visit for the weekend! And they brought down a couple of delicious pizzas from Pizza King that we made for dinner tonight!

YUM! And they brought down an amazing birthday cake from Boonzaijer Bakery with them as well!

Delicious stuff! It’s like having our very our own little Taste of Michigan! YUM! Thanks mom & dad!:)

Lunch at Americano.

After running some errands around downtown, we stopped back into Americano to share a burger for a late lunch. Because it wouldn’t be a weekend if we didn’t stop in for a delicious burger from Americano. This time we tried The Mexican topped with Rafa’s guac, fried jalapeños, pepper jack, queso fresco and mayo. And after a few chuckles about ordering Mexican at Americano, it was set down in front of us…

We got it with cajun fries, of course. And onion rings…

It’s such good stuff. The Mexican might just be my new favorite burger at Americano. Also not pictured were the order of their amazing wings with the house rub. We also ran into our friends Corey and Amy, who were also at Americano for an early dinner. It was fun to get to hang out with them for a little bit before we see them in Jamaica! 🙂

Jet’s, Jet’s, Jet’s!

Tonight, we ordered a delicious Jet’s Pizza and Jet’s Triple Cheese Turbo Stix!

Delicious stuff! I really love Jet’s. They definitely got my birthday weekend got off to a great start! 🙂

ps. Check out Jet’s “Perfect Couple” combo just in time for Valentine’s Day…

Because nothing says loving like Jet’s Pizza! 🙂

Nation Kitchen & Bar.

Tonight, we walked up into Pendleton just passed the casino to go celebrate Genifer’s first day at her new job at Nation. It’s been a minute since we were last at Nation, and that’s much too long…

We finally got to try Nation’s fried bologna sammich…

And it was outstanding! Of course, we got some loaded tots to go with our sammich…

The courtyard behind Nation is very pretty.

And I love my little urban alleys…

You really can’t beat Nation. You can’t beat it at all. 🙂

A snowy Friday evening.

Photos from our Friday evening around downtown Cincinnati…

We were supposed to be on the receiving end of a sizable snopacalypse this evening…

Friday nights at Americano, it’s almost becoming a tradition…

With the impending threat of the White Death, we were really surprised just how many people were at Americano…

Tonight, we shared The Porkopolis burger…

Double crispy bacon and double sharp cheddar with lettuce, tomato and mayo. Delicious! And Genifer had a cup of their tomato soup which was outstanding…

Apparently, there’s a new place going in right next to Americano on Race Street…

The big snow storm that was supposed to dump on Cincinnati missed us to the south, and downtown was just dusted in a layer of the cold white stuff…

On the way home, we stopped by Horse & Barrel for a drink…

It was another fun Friday night in downtown Cincinnati. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made these Grands® Easy Taco Melts for dinner tonight…

And they were delicious! We only had HOT taco seasoning in our cupboard so they were full extra spicy beefy, salsa-y, cheesy, piping hot goodness. Perfect for a chilly night! I can’t wait to eat the leftovers for lunch tomorrow! I can see these taco melts quickly becoming a new favorite! And Genifer had the idea of doing the same sort of thing but with pizza ingredients and making mini calzones! YUM! 🙂

Dinner at Morton’s.

We noticed on the Instagram of Morton’s Steakhouse that they were offering a new year’s celebration promotion featuring three courses for just $36 through January 14th. To make matters even better, we’ve been sitting on $150 in Morton’s gift cards that I received as a reward through my PNC Points Visa. Guess who’s eating at Morton’s tonight!

For the starter, we both had the half Caesar Salad…

For the entree, we both got the 6 ounce Filet…

Mmmm… Morton’s steak. Just look at that mouth-watering slab of meaty goodness…

The entree came with a choice of accompaniment. Genifer went with the broccoli florets and I got the horseradish mashed potatoes….

For dessert, we were both going to go with their creme brulee. But as luck would have it, they have already sold out of all 76 creme brulees that were prepared for the day. So Genifer opted to go with the carrot cake…

And I went with the double chocolate mousse…

Needless to say, it was an incredible meal that left us both stuffed. And the best part is, we still have Morton’s gift cards left for next time! 🙂

Meatball sub you taste so good.

I made this meatball sub for lunch today from the leftover meatballs we had with our spaghetti. It was the perfect lunch for the start of the wildcard playoff games…

Meatball sub you taste so good! I like it. 🙂

It’s what’s for dinner.

Genifer made spaghetti for dinner tonight…

I love spaghetti! YUM! 🙂

More free pizza!

Tonight, we redeemed our second free Domino’s Your Piece of the Pie Rewards pizza

REDEEM! Pizza emoji sent, Domino’s ordered. Smiley face. 😀

And of course, we had to get some of Domino’s Stuffed Cheesy Bread…

YUM! Thanks for the free pie, Domino’s. Dinner was delicious! 🙂
