Cyclones hockey game #9.

Tonight, we went to our 9th Cyclones hockey game of the season at US Bank Arena.
Our Cyclones were playing the Indy Fuel. Again. It seems like in the nine games we’ve been to so far this season, we’ve only seen the ‘Clones play three or four teams…

At the end of the first,  the Cyclones were up 2-0!

At the beginning of the third, it was still 2-0 Cyclones…

3-0 CYCLONES!!!

And that’s how it would end, 3-1 Cyclones!

Win or lose, the Cyclones games are always fun! 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #8.

Tonight, we went to our 8th Cyclones hockey game of the season at US Bank Arena

The Cyclones were taking on the Fort Wayne Komets again. It seems like we’ve only seen the ‘Clones play only three teams over the eight games we’ve been to so far this season.

This guys wears shorts and flip-flops to every Cyclones game, no matter how cold…

At the end of the first, it was still all knotted at zeros…

1-0 CYCLONES!

There’s always someone with a vuvuzela…

Hi there! It was starting get a bit chippy…

Because at the end of the second the Cyclones trailed 3-1…

Our photo made the big screen at US Bank Arena! Again!

4-1…

And that’s how it would end. 4-1 Komets over the ‘Clones…

Hopefully, the Cyclones will bounce back for our next hockey game. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #7.

It seems like it’s been forever and a day since we’ve been to our last Cyclones hockey game. They’ve been out of town for the last couple of weeks, and we’ve been longing for some hockey. Tonight, we got to go to our seventh hockey game of the season down at US Bank Arena…

We were really surprised at just how many people were at the game tonight…

At the end of the first, the Cyclones trailed the Fuel 2-1…

It started getting pretty scrappy…

At the end of the season, the Cyclones now trailed 3-1…

Win or lose, the Cyclones games are always really fun. 🙂

A big day for FC Cincinnati.

Today was a big day for FC Cincinnati. First, FC|C opened a retail space on the ground floor of their headquarters on Fourth Street. So today at lunch, we went to check out the FC|C new store…

We had to go up to FC Cincinnati Headquarters on the third floor to find someone to let us into the store…

We picked up a couple FC Cincinnati shirts as early Christmas presents. Right now the store was stocked with the same items that are available from their online store. We were told that in the next week or so new items would be arriving including a 3/4 zip-up and pullovers. And then we were invited to watch FC Cincinnati’s big announcement unveiling of FC|C’s first class of player signings!

The first ever player announced in the history of FC|C was former MLS Rookie of the Year and Chicago Fire defender, Austin Berry

There were 11 FC|C players in all that were announced today as part of the first class. It’s a terrific start to the full 24 man roster. And it was pretty awesome to get to watch today’s big announcement from the conference room at FC|C Headquarters!

It’s a pretty exciting time to be in Cincinnati! 🙂

Redsfest.

Tonight, we went over to Duke Energy Convention Center to check out this year’s Redsfest

Everyone in attendance got one of these great Reds drawstring backpacks and a Reds stocking cap…

Tucker Barnhart…

The Kids Only Interview with Tucker Barnhart, Zack Cozart and Homer Bailey led to some pretty funny questions and answers…

We spotted @DatDudeBP, Brandon Phillips…

We checked out the kids area Fun Zone on the third floor…

And then moved down to the Season Ticket Member Ultra Lounge on the second floor…

And while we were hanging out, 2015 Home Run Derby champ Todd Frazier showed up for a Q&A…

Back down to the main floor…

And then back up to the Season Ticket Member Ultra Lounge…

Where we stumbled into another Q&A with a couple of Reds prospects…

Marty Brennaman was leading the Q&A…

On the way out, we ran into Santa…

It was another pretty awesome Redsfest! Afterwards, we stopped into Red Roost Tavern, and tried the Ballast Point Habanero Sculpin. That’s one spicy beer…

It was a great Friday! Click to see all the photos I took at Redsfest 2015. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #6.

Tonight, we went to our sixth Cyclones hockey game of the season!

PUCKCHOP!

There weren’t very many people at US Bank Arena for hockey on a Tuesday night…

At the end of the first period, there was no score…

Going into the third period, the Cyclones were trailing 0-1…

And our Instagram photo made the US Bank Arena Jumbotron again!

TIE GAME!

Twister was less than thrilled with some of the officiating…

EXTRA HOCKEY!

Time for five minutes of three-on-three sudden death hockey!

Onto shoot-outs! Extra, extra hockey!

And the Cyclones lost 2-1 in the shoot-out. 😦

Redfest tickets!

We received two complimentary tickets to next weekend’s Redsfest at Duke Energy Center in the mail today from our beloved Cincinnati Reds…

Thanks Reds! Last season was a season of Reds baseball for the ages. We thoroughly enjoyed each and every game we attended. And we had an absolute blast at last year’s Redfest! But with all the trade rumors swirling around, we’re going to wait and see what happens with two of our favorite Reds, Aroldis Chapman and Brandon Phillips before we’ll be making any final decisions on whether or not we’ll be back as season ticket holders again next season. But we were definitely planning on attending Redfest! Thanks again for the free 2-day passes! 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #5.

Tonight, we walked down to US Bank Arena to see our Cyclones take on the Fort Wayne Komets on the biggest bar night of the year. It’s our fifth hockey game of the season

US Bank Arena was packed tonight. It seems like every college kid in Cincinnati was at US Bank Arena. I wish I could say that everyone was there for the game…

Because it seemed like everyone was just in line for $1 beers. And once they got their beers, it seemed like they just got back in line. It made for ridiculously long lines everywhere in US Bank Arena not just for the dollar beers. We don’t remember it being that bad last year. Nowhere even close. But eventually, we did finally manage to get a couple of beers…

We ended up ducking out during the second intermission. When this game rolls around next season, I think this is one we’ll probably skip. We went to this game last year, and it wasn’t nearly as annoying. US Bank Arena was nutty and the concession lines were way out of control. And the Cyclones ended up losing 3-2 in overtime. :/

Our Reds All-Star Legacy brick.

The Reds All-Star Legacy brick that Josh, Jeannette, Violette and Edgerton ordered for us as an engagement present arrived in the mail today…

We love it! We can’t wait to find our brick down at Great American Ball Park next season! Thanks JJVE! 🙂
