Reds baseball game #9.

Tonight, we walked down to GABP to watch our Reds take on those whiny bird Cardinals from St. Louis…

Because one our favorite ex-Reds pitchers was on the hill tonight, Mike Leake!

BARGE!

These guy were either giving the $1 hot dog stand a work-out, or doing the All-You-Can-Eat-Seats the right way…

Adam Duvall hit a dinger for the Reds…

The Cardinals tied the game at 6 in the top of the ninth…

In the bottom of ninth, Joey Votto hit a walk-off home run for the Reds win! Walk-off, Mr. Votto! Walk-off!

The Reds game are always fun, especially when they win! 🙂

Downtown details.

Taken this morning on our walk with Oscar. 🙂

Downtown details.

Back to the grind. The tower crane was back to doing tower crane things…

Donald Deskey was all bundled up because it’s cold outside, and the heat wasn’t working on the first floor this morning. And that means, it’s cold inside too.

The view from my office window…

Here’s this remnant doo-hickey in our building’s lobby that we pass every day…

And last night must have been the final night of the green tiara atop the Great American Tower for this holiday season…

Because on our Oscar walk this evening, the tiara was glowing white again.
Booooring. 🙂

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year from downtown Cincinnati!
We rang in the new year at Nicholson’s. Again. It’s become somewhat of a tradition. There’s never a cover on New Year’s Eve, and we’ve been lucky enough to belly up to the bar…

HAPPY NEW YEAR! We hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year’s Eve! 🙂

Our Swarm Year in Review.

Six years ago today, I found a little app called Foursquare. And I loved my Foursquare. The check-in game portion of Foursquare spun off and became was is now Swarm. So in honor of it being my Foursquare/Swarm birthday today, I thought I would proudly present our Swarm Year in Review…

We love doing our check-ins everyday on Swarm. This year I had 5677 check-ins, spent a lot of time in the Parks category and checked-in at P&G Gardens a whopping 346 times! The most popular check-in spot for me. Genifer had 1372 check-ins, also spent a lot of time at Parks and checked-in at Great American Ball Park a massive 66 times, her most popular spot! We both unlocked 32 new stickers. And both of our favorite sticker to use was, not surprisingly, Suds McGee. I earned coins 13914 to Genifer’s 4890 coins. Also not surprisingly was that Genifer was my check-in BFF with 961 check-ins together, and that I was hers with 914 check-ins together.

If you haven’t got in on the silly, yet rather pointless fun that is Swarm, click here to download Swarm now for your mobile device. 🙂

Back to Americano.

We went back to Americano Burger Bar tonight to try some of their wings…

We got them with the house rub. And they were amazing!

And of course, we had to share an Americano burger…

Delicious. Definitely, one of the best burgers downtown. Hands down. On the way home, we said hello to the Carew Tower…

Cyclones hockey game #7.

It seems like it’s been forever and a day since we’ve been to our last Cyclones hockey game. They’ve been out of town for the last couple of weeks, and we’ve been longing for some hockey. Tonight, we got to go to our seventh hockey game of the season down at US Bank Arena…

We were really surprised at just how many people were at the game tonight…

At the end of the first, the Cyclones trailed the Fuel 2-1…

It started getting pretty scrappy…

At the end of the season, the Cyclones now trailed 3-1…

Win or lose, the Cyclones games are always really fun. 🙂

It poured all day and night again in downtown Cincinnati today. It was pretty crappy outside. But we managed to dodge the raindrops and get Oscar out for a walk…

Later, we ordered some delicious Jet’s pizza because pizza makes everything better…

Lytle Park.

This evening it stopped raining long enough for Oscar and I to go on a walk down to Lytle Park to check out the lights they recently put up for the holidays…

I’m so happy that they put up at least some of the lights at Lytle Park again this year. It makes the little park look so very pretty. 🙂

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Oscar got to open one of his Christmas presents this morning. He got a new squeaky dog…

I think he really likes it…

And then we headed over to the Westside for Christmas and brunch…

And wouldn’t you know it, I forgot to take a picture of their pretty Christmas tree too. We came back home, grabbed Oscar and headed over to Genifer’s mom’s house for still more Christmas. The Christmas sunset was really gorgeous on our way out to our car…

And on our way out of the parking garage, we saw this Santa smart fortwo…

Someone else went a little with their Christmas lights…

I did remember to take a picture of Genifer’s mom’s pretty Christmas tree…

When we got home, we finally got to have our Christmas…

It was a very busy, but really great Christmas for us. And we hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! 🙂
