It’s a sign.

Even though the business has closed it’s doors, I hope this sign hangs above Vine Street in downtown Cincinnati forever. πŸ˜€βš οΈβ€οΈ

An icy good morning.

When we woke up this morning, it looked like just another rainy, wet morning. But when we were out walking the dogs, we noticed everything was covered in a thin layer of ice…

Everything except for roads and sidewalks that is. Still, most schools were on a two-hour delay. And I guess there were a lot of people who lost power. Thankfully, we didn’t lose power. And the ice didn’t affect us that much at all. We actually made it to work extra early. I wish we would have had more time this morning to take more photos of everything covered in ice.Β πŸ˜€πŸŒ¨οΈβ„οΈβ€οΈ

It’s been so grey lately.

It’s been so grey lately that I’m starting to forget what the sun looks like. Welcome to autumn in Ohio. πŸ˜€β˜οΈβ€οΈ

Good evening from Northside.

Good morning from Northside.

With last night’s time change, this morning we were treated to a gorgeous sunrise…

Good morning.

The sunrises have been starting to come later and later in the morning and we’ve been leaving for work before the beautiful sunrises we’ve been seeing for the last few weeks actually start to break above the houses…

But the sunrise was gorgeous once I got downtown…

Good morning from Northside and downtown Cincinnati. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„β€οΈ

Good evening from Northside.

I really love it when it’s dark outside and the streetlights are on and the light from the streetlights illuminate the leaves on the nearby trees…

I think it’s one of those really beautiful everyday things that not everybody gives the appreciation it deserves.Β πŸ˜€πŸŒƒβ€οΈ

Downtown details.

I had to run a couple of errands around downtown Cincinnati this afternoon. I walked by one of my favorite buildings in all of downtown Cincinnati, Lyric Piano BuildingΒ on Race Street. I’d love to hang out on that fourth-floor balcony…

I’d also love to hang out in this bay window a little bit further down Race Street…

Walking back to work, I cut down College Street on the backside of Race Street. There are some wonderful ghost signs from businesses past…

And speaking of bay windows…

Downtown Cincinnati is beautiful.Β πŸ˜€πŸ™οΈβ€οΈ

Goodnight moon.

A full moon in October is known as the Hunter’s Moon. And tomorrow night there was supposed to be a 100% full October Hunter’s Moon. Fun facts from Space.com

The moon shows its full face to Earth once a month. Well, sort of.

In fact, the same side of the moon always faces the planet, but part of it is in shadow. And, in reality most of the time the “full moon” is never perfectly full. Only when the moon, Earth and the sun are perfectly aligned is the moon 100 percent full, and that alignment produces aΒ lunar eclipse. And sometimes β€” once in aΒ blue moonΒ β€” the moon is full twice in a month (or four times in a season, depending on which definition you prefer). [The Moon: 10 Surprising Facts]

I was really excited about tomorrow’s night 100% full moon. I get excited about silly things like that. When we were walking the dogs this evening, the moon was just starting to rise above the horizon…

It’s hard to get steady photos when the dog you’re walking is pulling you along…

These are the only photos I took of the Hunter’s Moon. I meant to take more but I ended up falling asleep pretty early. I wasn’t too upset because tonight the moon was 99% full. Tomorrow night will be the 100% full Hunter’s Moon.Β πŸ˜€πŸŒ•β€οΈ

UPDATE: It was so overcast on Wednesday that we couldn’t even see the 100% full Hunter’s Moon. And that’s a bummer.
