Good morning from Northside.

I have today and tomorrow off before I start my new job with Grey. This morning Genifer dropped me off an iced chai latte and cinnamon twist from Sidewinder

Thank you, baby! You are amazing! πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

Sidewinder hot chocolate.

Genifer still gets her Mexican or caramel lattes when we stop at Sidewinder Coffee but the caffeine from coffee makes me feel all jittery so I’ve been on a hot chocolate kick…

It’s so good! I love Sidewinders hot chocolate. And their cinnamon twists. Hot chocolate and cinnamon twists, that’s what it’s all about. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

A cinnamon twist from Sidewinder.

I love the cinnamon twists at our beloved Sidewinder Coffee.Β The frosting on them is just amazing. They are so good. πŸ˜€πŸ§β€οΈ

Seen and noted.

Check out these beautiful new all wooden artworks at Sidewinder Coffee

There are a lot of really talented artists out there in the world. πŸ˜€πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈβ€οΈ

Sidewinder coffee.

Our beloved Sidewinder Coffee recently redesigned their logo. On the right is their old logo, and on the left is their new logo. The new logo is so fancy. I’m still partial to the old simple lightning bolt logo because their coffee gives you a charge to start your day…

But regardless of their logo, you can’t beat their coffee. We love it so much…

We both wish we could get Sidewinder coffee every morning. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβš‘οΈβ€οΈ

What’s happening?!

When we stopped to get coffee at our beloved Sidewinder this morning, their front door was blocked and we had to go down the alley and through the back door…

We didn’t even know there was a back door. It reminded me of the time we when finally figured out how to get into Collective Espresso in Northside

It turns out Sidewinder was getting a new front door installed this morning…

We think Sidewinder’s coffee is just the best. And we love stopping to get coffee from Sidewinder in the mornings. But just twice a week because that stuff could get really expensive if you got it every day. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

Northside Saturday.

This afternoon we walked down to Blue Jay for lunch…

We tried their cheese coneys and chili cheese sammiches and they were awesome!

After lunch, we were headed off to the grand opening of favorite coffee shop, Sidewinder’s brand new coffee roastery…

But first, we stopped in Shake It Records…

Seriously, we need to get a record player…

They had so many good records that I would have bought today if we had a record player. Walking down Hamilton Avenue right next to Hoffner Park, it looks like a new smoothie and juice bar is going in…

We made it all the way down Spring Grove to Sidewinder’s new coffee roastery…

Their new coffee roaster…

There was some serious roasting going on in here…

Original artworks by very talented artist and Sidewinder barista, Amy Poliner…

They’re going to need some more coffee beans…

We had a coffee drink and hung out for a little while and learned about the process of roasting coffee beans. It’s a lot more complicated than I thought it would be…

From there we stopped at Second Place to have a bourbon slushie and kill a little bit of time while we waited for our friend’s backyard birthday party to start…

W estayed at the backyard birthday party until it got too dark to see anymore in the backyard. And then we headed home. It was a really fun day in Northside.Β πŸ˜€β€οΈ

It’s a sign.

When we were walking back to our hotel, Genifer noticed this sign for a coffee shop across Sixth Street. And even with all the thousands of times that we walked down Sixth Street when we lived downtown, we couldn’t remember if this was an old sign or a new sign for a coffee shop that’s coming soon…

It got us talking about all the times we walked down Sixth Street to Fountain Square and all the fun we had downtown. And how much it’s changed and how much it’s still the same. And how much we like our Sidewinder Coffee in Northside.Β πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

Fridays are for Sidewinder.

Every Friday morning we stop at Sidewinder for coffee…

We love Sidewinder’s coffee drinks. It’s our little reward for making it through the week to another Friday.Β πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

Pause for paws.

Oscar was watching us from the back seat of our car when we stopped at Sidewinder to get coffee this morning…

He was riding with us because he had a vet appointment later in the morning. He’s been having allegery issues with his ears. Poor guy.Β πŸ˜€β˜•οΈπŸΎβ€οΈ
