The start of a long weekend.

Today was the start of a long, four-day holiday weekend…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Lowe’s this morning…

We got Mad Llama coffee…

We also stopped at Home Goods…

And we got Potbelly for lunch…

Ohmigosh. Potbelly is so good…

I put my new little stool in our studio office…

We spread some more pea gravel on our side yard…

It started sprinkling on our walk…

Good evening from Northside…

And it really started raining just as soon as we got home…

Whenever it really rains, there’s always a waterfall cascading from the gutters and down off the side of the neighbors house…

Somehow the water always seems to drain pretty quickly. But it doesn’t really cause us any problems. I’ve just never seen a gutter waterfall like that.

Right now, Oscar’s favorite toy is his hedgehog…

He’ll hide it and then forget where it’s been hidden…

And then he gets so excited when he finds it again…

We dodged the raindrops and went out in the backyard for potty breaks…

We watched Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse on Amazon Video. It was pretty good. And we finished Jupiter’s Legacy on Netflix. For a super hero series, it was the slowest burning show I think I’ve ever seen. It was ten episodes of nothing but back story and character development. I bet the second season would have been pretty good if it hadn’t already been cancelled.

And that was our Friday. It was a pretty good one. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„β€οΈ

Friday evening in our backyard.

Good morning from Northside…

We’ve been going to Blue Jay for breakfast on Friday…

Mmmm. Northsider omelette…

We stopped for coffee on our way home…

We ordered this new rug for our second floor hallway…

Oscar slept on the rug while I finished up work…

And just like that, it was the weekend…

Good evening from Northside…

We sat on our back patio and had some drinks…

We watched the final NBA play-in game, and the Grizzlies beat the Warriors 117-112 in overtime…

Congrats Memphis! In the first round of the playoffs, the Grizz get to play the team with the best regular season record and number one overall seed in the playoffs, Utah Jazz.

Friday. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„πŸΊπŸΎβ€οΈ

We made it through another week!

Good morning from Northside…

And we made it through another work week!

Good evening from Northside…

We saw this little ladybug in our backyard…

Do you remember this one?

πŸ˜€πŸŒ„πŸžπŸ‘‘β€οΈ

Happy Foursquare Day!

Today was Foursquare Day (4.16)…

Good morning from Northside…

And time for post-walk treats…

After work, we tried a couple of beers from my parents trip out west…

The tangerine citrus ale was pretty good but the blueberry wheat was outstanding.

Good evening from Northside…

We ordered off the kids menu for dinner tonight…

It was pretty good start to the weekend. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„βœˆοΈπŸΎπŸ»β€οΈ

Friday pizza party!

We got to see another really pretty sunrise this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And there was this pretty little flower on one of the shrubs in our front yard…

We walked to Sidewinder to get coffees this morning to celebrate Friday…

Fast forward through the work day, and it was officially the weekend! Time for a Toppers pizza party!

Omigosh! Great pizza! What a terrific way to usher in the weekend!

After we stuffed ourselves full of pizza and cheesy bread, we took the dogs out on their walk around the block…

We started watching the second season of Dark on Netflix. And then we all pretty much just crashed out…

We’re really happy we made it through the week. The work week after a vacation always feels so long. Now we can just relax again. I don’t think we really have any big plans for this weekend. There’s still this pandemic that is more out of control now than ever. And I think it’s suppose to rain all weekend too. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„β˜•οΈπŸ•πŸΎβ€οΈ

An unexpected visitor.

There have been some really pretty sunrises lately…

Good morning from Northside…

The days are definitely getting shorter…

It’s Friday! To celebrate, we shared our crowler of Vanilla Oatbama oatmeal stout from Presidential Brewing up in Portage, Michigan…

Their beers were really good.

Somehow a praying mantis made its way into our house…

We wanted to get it outside before Mack tried to eat it…

I think Praying Mantis are pretty neat. And we don’t seen them very often. I think this is the third one we’ve seen since we moved into our house. And it’s the second one we’ve seen recently.

After all that excitement, we finished The Haunting at Bly Manor. It was good. But not at all what we were expecting it to be. We were thinking ghosts and things that go bump in the night but it turned out to be just a pretty tragic, sad love story. The best part was the little girl Flora always proclaiming everything to be perfectly splendid.” πŸ˜€πŸŒ„β›…οΈπŸΊπŸͺ²πŸ“Ίβ€οΈ

A rainy morning for Biggby Coffee.

It was a cold and rainy morning in Cincinnati. Just perfect for some Free Shot Friday action over at Biggby Coffee

We love our Biggby coffee. πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

And later, it turned out to be a really pretty afternoon…

Fridays run on Dunkin.

I forgot how much I like Dunkin’s Munchkins. They’re good stuff.Β πŸ˜€πŸ©β€οΈ

Fridays are for Sidewinder.

Every Friday morning we stop at Sidewinder for coffee…

We love Sidewinder’s coffee drinks. It’s our little reward for making it through the week to another Friday.Β πŸ˜€β˜•οΈβ€οΈ

One step closer.

This evening we just stayed in and watched the USMNT take another huge step towards qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia with a 4-0 rout over Panama

If the USMNT can beat Trinidad & Tobago on Tuesday, they’ll be packing their bags for Russia next summer!Β πŸ˜€βš½οΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έβ€οΈ
