Yardwork and a full moon.

We put down ten bags of pea gravel in our side yard…

And we completed the first section of our retaining wall along our fence…

It was so nice today. We sat outside and drink one of our ciders from Gatlinburg…

And there was a full moon tonight…

A snowy Thursday.

We got more snow overnight…

And a snowy good morning from Northside…

The roads were clearer this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

It was very snowy in our little side yard when we were putting the trash out…

And tonight, Michigan made it two for two after their COVID-19 pause with a solid win over Rutgers…

Michigan remains the only Big Ten basketball team to never lose to Rutgers. And the Michigan athletic program has the best-combined football/basketball record against Rutgers since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten. Go BLUE! ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒจ๏ธโ„๏ธ๐Ÿ“บใ€ฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ€โค๏ธ

Another good Saturday.

We love our new little side yard…

And we love our backyard fence…

Good morning from Northside…

This afternoon we drove out to West Chester…

We had lunch at Dingle House

They had a peanut butter milk stout from Left Hand that was just out of this world…

Genifer ordered Mike’s pastrami on sour dough…

I had a half-order of their fish and chips…

While we out in West Chester, we visited Geri for a bit, gathered Oscar and Bear to finally bring them back home with us and then we headed back to Northside…

Good evening from Northside…

And this evening, we watched Minnesota United draw with Houston and Louisville City thump Memphis

It was another really good Saturday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ“บโšฝ๏ธโค๏ธ

Oktoberfest In Za House.

Good morning from Northside…

Mack usually hangs out with me in our office while I’m working but today he wandered off. And I found sleeping in my spot on our bed…

When were out on our walk this evening, we saw this yard sign…

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is traditionally the nationโ€™s largest Oktoberfest and the second largest in the world to the original Oktoberfest in Munich. And apparently even with COVID-19 this year, Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is still taking place around town at favorite Cincinnati eateries and pubs and In Za House at home…

Good evening from Northside….

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati In Za Haus will enable Oktoberfest lovers to get their German on at home by ordering do-it-yourself Oktoberfest Zinzinnati Zelebration Packs. This year’s mostly virtual Oktoberfest starts today and runs through next Saturday, September 27th. PROST!

And good night from our backyard…

Thank goodness, it’s Friday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿฅจโค๏ธ

It’s starting to feel like autumn.

Here’s another photo of our new little side yard…

And our new little garden hose post…

Good morning from Northside…

The sky was so hazy again this morning…

We walked to get coffees from Sidewinder

When we were out in Duck, I got this huge tub of cheese balls. And today with lunch, I ate the very last cheese ball…

It was kind of hazy all day long…

Good evening from Northside…

For dinner tonight, Genifer made the autumn sausage veggie & apple sheet pan.
It’s one of our favorites…

And it’s actually starting to feel like autumn again. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‚โค๏ธ

Oh hoser, eh?

The sun looked pretty this morning as it rose over Northside…

It kinda looked like something out of Star Wars or a sci-fi film…

The hazy sun was probably still because of the wildfires out west.

Good morning from Northside…

It was too dark to get a decent photo of it last night. But we took one of our old fence posts, and turned it into a hanger for our garden hose…

I saw something similar on Pinterest and thought it would be a neat idea because I could never really figure out what to do with our hose.

Good evening from Northside…

The skies were still pretty hazy this evening…

And we had an NYPD calzone party tonight. We’ve been all about the NYPD lately…

Genifer had just pepperoni in her calzone. I had sausage, ham and green olives in mine. And we shared a small french fry…

YUM! NYPD is so good.

And here’s one more photo of our new hose post…

Later this evening, we finished watching the second season of Cobra Kai. It was really good. We can’t wait for the next season to see what happens. It’s always tough to figure out what to watch next after you finish a season of something. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿกโค๏ธ

We have a side yard now!

This morning we woke up early to get over to Lowe’s…

We wanted to get a big drum of stain for our brand new fence. It’s so exciting. After we chose our stain, we headed over to Mad Llama for our Saturday morning coffee…

I bet about half of our runs to Lowe’s and the grocery have just thinly veiled excuses to run across town to get Mad Llama coffee because it is so good…

When we our new fence was installed, we had them move our gate up to the street side of our side door. It gave us a little side yard space that is actually usable now. This afternoon we worked on cleaning up on newly formed little side yard space…

When they ripped up our street to replace the water main, they left a pile of the bricks on the side of our street. It turns those bricks were the original cobblestone bricks from back in the day when Beech Hill was a brick cobblestone street. We grabbed as many of those bricks as we could and stacked them by our air conditioner on the side of our house. We weren’t sure what we were going to be using them for until today. We used them to line the path in our little side yard…

Good evening from Northside…

And good evening from our backyard…

With our new fence…

And our new little side yard…
