Social distancing pizza party.

We took delicious Donato’s pizzas and salads out to Geri in West Chester to check on her and make sure she was doing okay in the midst of COVID-19…

She is hanging in there, just like all of us. And the pizzas were delicious. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ•๐Ÿฅ—โค๏ธ

But first coffee.

Thankfully, Biggby’s drive-thru is still open for the time being…

Would a weekend without delicious Biggby beverages even be a weekend? ๐Ÿ˜€โ˜•๏ธโค๏ธ

I’m sure COVID-19 keep us from getting our weekend morning coffee at some point.

Panda Express.

So believe it or not, we’ve never eaten at a Panda Express. This afternoon we found ourselves out on the Westside at Western Hills Plaza, and we decided to try Panda Express for the very first time…

It was odd trying a place for the first time during a pandemic. There were blue tape lines on the floor so everyone knew how far to stay apart…

It was our turn to order. And there were so many delicious looking options…

We learned that at Panda Express you choose your meal size: a bowl (1 entree & 1 side), plate (2 entrees & 1 side) OR bigger plate (3 entrees & 1 side). And then you choose your entree and side. Panda Express has a bunch of different entree choices…

Genifer ordered a bowl of the Kung Pao Chicken with fried rice. I ordered a plate with Orange Chicken and Mushroom Chicken with fried rice…

Panda Express was really, really good stuff. I think we just found a new place to stop for lunch whenever we find ourselves over on the Westside. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฅกโค๏ธ

There still aren’t any paper products.

We stopped at Target out on the Westside this morning and there were still no paper products like toilet paper, paper towels or even napkins. Just empty shelves…

We didn’t need any. Thankfully, we had a good supply built up well before there was ever the thought of a pandemic. It’s just crazy to me just how little is available now. People are pretty ridiculous with their hoarding. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿงปโค๏ธ

It was a great Saturday.

This morning started with some coffees from Biggby Coffee

YUM! Biggby has terrific hot chocolate. I love mine with some butterscotch added to it.

After we had our drinks in hand, we stopped at JackRabbit in Obryanville

At last year’s Higher Gravity Spring Grove Beer Gallop, Genifer won a $125ย  gift certificate towards a brand new running shoes from JackRabbit. And with this year’s Spring Grove Beer Gallop right around the corner, Genifer thought she’d better get some new running shoes…

Genifer got these Brooks running shoes…

These terrific running shoes only cost her $25. And that’s pretty awesome.

Later, we ran out to get lunch at Freddy’s Steakburgers

Ohmigosh. I love Freddy’s Steakburgers….

I think I’ve finally zeroed in on my go-to Freddy’s order. I think it’s going to be the original double. This is the original double with bacon…

But next time and into the future, my order will be just the original double with fries…

I used to get the triple steakburger. Sometimes I could do it. But sometimes, it was a real struggle and it was too much. Freddy’s also has a patty melt that is really good. But it’s not like a traditional patty melt. But it’s still really good.

On our way home for Freddy’s, we stopped in College Hill at Brink Brewing. Brink is one of my favorite Cincinnati breweries…

They have such great beers. Our big beer was a King Cake beer. It was awesome. Brink always has something really interesting on tap.

And that was pretty much our Saturday. We were pretty happy that we actually got out and did something on a Saturday…

And it was a great Saturday.

The dingle is in the house.

This afternoon we drove out to West Chester to have lunch with Geri, Alyssa, Cleve, and Pippa at Dingle House

Dingle House has one of the best fish sammiches around. And somehow, I don’t know that I’ve ever taken a photo of it.

And we dropped our little dingle, Oscar, off at Geri’s so he can stay with grandma while we’re on our trip. He was so excited to be with grandma that he wouldn’t even let me get a “see you later, Oscar” photo. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชโค๏ธ

Happy President’s Day.

Happy President’s Day! We both had the day off work. We used our BOGO coupon again this morning to get more delicious Biggby Coffee

We drove up to Monroe to check out Cincinnati Premium Outlets

They had FC Cincinnati gear at the Adidas store but it wasn’t discounted at all…

We didn’t find much at the Outlets. I got a scarf and a pair of boxers. We started to get hungry so we started to drive back towards Cincinnati and stopped to eat in Liberty Township at FlipSide in Liberty Center

We started with mini corn dogs on a stick…

I love corn dogs! Genifer ordered a hamburger without the bun. I ordered the Say Cheese cheeseburger and put too much mayonnaise on it…

It was a great lunch, the burger was really good and the fries were terrific. And they had this Sir Kensington ketchup that was just out of this world…

After we were done eating lunch, we walked through the shops in Liberty Center…

Genifer got a few things for our upcoming trip. I got a new pair of camo shorts. I’d worn my old camo short out over the last two summers. I’m really happy to have a new pair.

Later, we watched The Forest on Netflix. It was just turrible.

But we had a pretty fun President’s Day. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿ”โค๏ธ

Seen and noted: Sunday morning edition.

This morning we got up early to go over to get our weekend Biggby Coffee

Genifer tried their Starry Night Latte. She said it was really good. And I got my Cocoa Carmella hot chocolate with butterscotch…

I get the same thing every time. Once we had our drinks, we headed over to Kroger to get some groceries. Valentine’s Day is next weekend and the Valentine’s Day stuff was pretty much everywhere…

We saw another chocolate Perfect Man

We saw the perfect Valentine for a man…

All these adorable llamas said hey…

Also, chocolate Easter bunnies are out on shelf at Kroger…

I don’t know when Easter is this year. But it feels pretty early for Easter bunnies.

And we saw this panda bear in the international food aisle…

The panda was filled with these weird jello cups with floating bits of fruit…

I wonder if they’re any good? The Asian section of the international food aisle is usually where the odd ball stuff is stored.

There’s always something mildly interesting at the grocery store. ๐Ÿ˜€โ˜•๏ธ๐Ÿ’—โฃ๏ธโค๏ธ

Our Saturday.

This morning we got up early and went to Trader Joe’s and then to Kroger for groceries. Afterward, we stopped at Biggby Coffee for our weekend morning drinks…

It was kind of a sports Saturday. We watched Leicester draw with Chelsea, Xavier beat #10 Seton Hall, the second half of Wolves super boring draw with United, Michigan beat #25 Rutgers. And later, #23 Wichita State lost to Tulsa. The two underdogs we were cheering for won but the favorited Shockers lost and both of our soccer teams drew.

We finished watching 11.22.63 on Hulu. It was really good. We wished it would have kept going for more episodes. We started watching a new series on Netflix. This one isย  called The Stranger. It seems like another pretty good one. ๐Ÿ˜€โ˜•๏ธโšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ“บโค๏ธ

Camp Washington Chili.

After Cincinnati Museum Center, we continued my birthday theme of celebrating with things that are Cincinnati wonderful. And we stopped for lunch at another place that’s older than I am, Camp Washington Chili

I’d had Camp Washington Chili at the Coney Eating Contests on Fountain Square but we’d never been to their restaurant for some reason. We thought we’d change that today for my birthday lunch…

Genifer ordered two chili cheese sammiches…

I ordered a patty melt and a cheese coney and we shared some french fries…

Everything was delicious! And there was so much stuff on their menu that sounded great. I can’t wait to come back to Camp Washington Chili because next time I have to try their 513 Way…

It’s three slabs of goetta topped with chili, beans, onions, and cheese. It doesn’t get much more Cincinnati than that. Before we left, we got a couple of pieces of cake for us to eat later…

Genifer got carrot cake because she loves carrot cake…

And I got chocolate cake for my birthday cake…

What a delicious birthday lunch. Thanks, Camp Washington Chili! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿง€๐ŸŒญ๐ŸŽ‚โค๏ธ

ps. I had a really great birthday. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!
