It’s cold outside.

It was really cold this morning…

Good morning from Noerhside…

When we came back from our walk, I noticed my Bombas were on the wrong feet..

The breakfast of champions: Strawberry Toaster Strudels and hot chocolate…

And SURPRISE! It was still snowy this evening…

Good evening from Northside…

We had Sloppy Joseph’s for dinner tonight…

We played in the backyard for a bit…

And then it was back to work while we watched more of Wanted on Netflix.
😀🌄🌨️❄️🛷❤️

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Today, we remember the legacy of a great man. We honor The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr… a man who dared to dream while standing fearlessly in the face of adversity. We celebrate the man who taught us to dream while still loving others…

“We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.”

“An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.”

“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.”

“Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

We both had the day off work today for the holiday. It was a cold and snowy day…

Good morning from Northside…

Genifer made cheesy buffalo chicken pasta with garlic bread for lunch…

Good evening from Northside…

I realized when we got to the stairs at the top of the hill at the end of our street that I had forgotten my little fisheye Moment lens

Today, we watched Arsenal beat Newcastle 3-0. And we watched the MLK Day NBA games especially the Grizzlies win over the Suns. I like the Griz. I think they have the best logo in the NBA. It was a very nice day off. And another very low-key, relaxing day. 😀🌄❄️🔥🐔⚽️🏀❤️

Ohhh… Epic tacos!

There were still snow flurries this morning…

And it was still cold and grey…

Good morning from Northside…

We ventured out to try something new this afternoon, Agave & Rye in Rookwood…

We started with some chips and guacamole…

Genifer loves guacamole…

And it was really good at Agave & Rye. We also started with the elotte…

And we each had an epic taco. Genifer had The Buddha: teriyaki 5-spice tofu, sticky rice, baby corn, water chestnuts, cilantro, green onion, carrots, red bell pepper, Shiitake mushrooms, crispy wontons, sweet thai chili sauce…

I love ground beef tacos. And they’re kind of hard to find out. Agave & Rye had two on their menu. So this time I ordered The Cousin of Vinnie: seasoned ground beef, tomato-vodka sauce, mac n cheese, white cheddar, tobacco onions and queso cushion in between the two taco shells…

Next time, I’ll try the other ground beef taco. Their tacos were amazing and huge. And they had a bunch of interesting sounding tacos on their menu.

Everything we ordered was delicious…

Agave & Rye had a whole bunch of arcade game that would have been fun to play…

But we’re still in the middle of a pandemic and I didn’t want to touch anything…

Agave & Rye was incredible. Everything was delicious. Their tacos were huuuuge. And we left so stuffed. I think we just found our new favorite taco shop now that Django Western Taco has moved out of Northside.

When we got home, we took the dogs out around the block…

And it was still cold…

Good evening from Northside…

We ended up taking a nap. And later, we watched the NFL playoff games…

I was happy to see Tom Brady win. I was sad to see Drew Brees lose. And I thought the refs jobbed the Browns. How did they miss this helmet-to-helmet hit? Most likely, it cost the Browns a touchdown and they would end up losing by 5 points. Next weekend, I’ll be cheering for Brady and the Bills. Because nothing would be worse than a State Farm Superb Owl with Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. I don’t really care for either of them very much.

But anyway, we had a really great day with some epic tacos! 😀🌄❄️🌮🐾🏈❤️

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS! It was a chilly Christmas in Cincinnati…

And we woke up to a white Christmas…

We got the dogs a bunch of new dog toys and blankets for Christmas…

I took a little video of the dogs coming in from outside to discover all their new toys…

And now the dogs have a very full box of toys…

After the dogs got to play with their toys for a bit, we took them out on their walk…

Good morning from Northside…

Genifer made Magic Middles for breakfast this morning…

Magic Middles are delicious…

After breakfast, we opened our presents and exchanged our gifts. My parents sent us this hilarious 2020 ornament…

A huge thank you so much to my mom & dad for all our wonderful Christmas gifts…

There was a bit of debate over this advent calendar…

I thought we should start at one, count along with the days and end on twenty-five. Genifer thought we should start on twenty-five and countdown to one and end on the star. And you can see who won that debate…

This afternoon we headed up to West Chester to celebrate Christmas with Geri. We took some shrimps, a meat & cheese tray, a whole bunch of dippers and that was our Christmas dinner. We had a wonderful time spending the afternoon with her.

When we got home, we took the dogs around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

After the dog’s were done with the freezing cold walk, we watched a bunch of basketball and called it a day. We had a really wonderful Christmas day. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas as well. 😀🎄❤️

The first snow.

It was another Monday. And Mondays usually mean that it’s going to be another grey and rainy morning in Northside…

And it was cold outside too.

You can’t really tell from these photos but this morning it was raining hard enough that the dogs didn’t even want to go outside on their walk. We had to pretty much drag them out of the house and down to the end of the street so they would potty.

Mondays are tough. I feel like they are the busiest days of the week. When I look back at my photos to do a blog post for almost any Monday, there are never any photos from during the day. There are photos from our morning dog walk and then it jumps straight to photos from the evening dog walk.

And today was no different. This afternoon it started snowing. Our very first snow of the season. The snow was starting to accumulate on top of the cars on our street…

It started really snowing on our walk…

Good evening from Northside…

There was more snow on the Jetta when we got back from going around the block…

But the snow wasn’t starting to accumulate on the grass yet…

For dinner tonight, Genifer made turkey meatloaf…

She also made instant mashed potatoes and I finished the last of the Thanksgiving mac&cheese…

And it was delicious. We ate the entire meatloaf. It’s kind of a bummer because I was looking forward to a meatloaf sammich for lunch tomorrow.

When we got upstairs, I was trying to work on our blog but Flickr was having a case of the Mondays as well…

8 Tonight, we watched Xavier squeak out a win against Eastern Kentucky. Then we fell asleep. We always end up falling asleep pretty early on Mondays. 😀🌄🌧️❄️🏀❤️

Today was a cold one.

Today was the coldest day of the year so far…

Brrrr. Today was a cold one. 🥶⛄️❤️

Today was really COLD!

It was really cold today. I’m pretty sure it was the coldest day of the year so far…

And it started snowing when we were out walking the dogs tonight…

Brrrrr! 🥶🌨️❄️❤️

It’s a little warmer today.

But really not that much warmer at all.  😀❄️❤️

It’s so cold outside.

It’s so cold outside. Feels like -14º and then -17º? That’s just too dang cold. 😀❄️❤️
