Well played December 37th.

Good morning from Northside…

The scene at the Capitol today was just disgusting…

Ugh. January 20th can’t come soon enough. I’m ready for all this mess to be over and for the racists and white supremacists to crawl back under their rocks. This isn’t how America should be.

For dinner tonight, we had Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken…

Ohmigosh. The Mandarin Orange Chicken is so good. And we had delicious pot sticker dumplings too…

For dessert, we had these giant Carol’s Cookies that JJVE sent us as part of our terrific Christmas present…

And they were as delicious as they were huge! Thanks again, JJVE!

Good evening from Northside…

Hopefully better days are on the horizon. 😠😡🤬🌄🥡🥟🍪❤️

Happy New Year’s Eve.

It kind of figures that 2020 is going out with a gloomy, overcast day…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Trader Joe’s this morning to pick up a few things…

We used one of our Trader Joe’s gift cards…

Thanks, mom & dad!

Trader Joe’s has the best taco sauce. Last time we were at TJ’s, they were all sold out of taco sauce. Thankfully, today they restocked and there was plenty…

Did we mention we had a Trader Joe’s gift card?

Trader Joe’s was having an employee gingerbread house contest…

This one was my favorite…

Ha. This is fine. And then we went to Biggby to get New Years Eve coffee…

Mack was all crashed out in our studio office…

We walked over to Northside Tavern for a couple of New Years Eve drinks…

It was nice to get out of the house for a bit and have some fun. On our walk home, we stopped by Kitchen Factory to get a couple of slices…

And our slices didn’t even make it home. We ate them while we were walking and they were delicious…

We took the dogs around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

Our plan we to stay up to watch the ball drop on TV. But we nodded off on our sofa. I woke up a couple of minutes before midnight. Genifer had already gone upstairs. I let the dogs out in the backyard just as the clock hit midnight. A whole bunch of cheers and noise makers could be as the clock struck midnight. And then there were some firework popped up all over the sky. And my cameras were on the dining table because I was just going to let the dogs out before heading upstairs. Oh well. I’m just happy that we can get a fresh start in the morning.

We hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years Eve. 😀🌄☕️🐾🍻🍕🎊🎉🎆❤️

HOORAY! It’s Friday!

HOORAY! It’s Friday! It was a little chilly and a little grey this morning…

Good morning from Northside…

And it was time for day four of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

How fun is Lego stuff? I got all my work done for the day and finished my timesheets for the week.

And then it was good evening from Northside…

It was a very pretty December evening.

For dinner tonight, Genifer made chicken marinated in Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki with baked sweet potatoes and we finished the rest of the Thanksgiving stuffing….

It was such a great meal. The Trader Joe’s Island Soyaki is a teriyaki sauce/marinade that mkes anything taste like the most out of this world, outstandingly good stuff.

None of my teams were playing their sports tonight…

And as a result, we got to watch A Christmas Catch tonight on Netflix. It was pretty cheesy and not very good. It wasn’t as bad as one of the other movies we watched, Hometown Holiday but it was still far from good. Both seemed like they were Hallmark movie rejects. 😀🌄🐔📺❤️

Thank goodness it’s Friday.

A morning trip to Trade Joe’s.

Good morning from Northside…

We ventured out to Trader Joe’s this morning before work, and on the way across town the sunrise sky was so beautiful…

It’s been a minute since we’ve been to Trader Joe’s…

And Mad Llama is right around the corner from Trader Joe’s (kind of)…

When we got home, we finished up our work week before having Trader Joe’s delicious Mandarin Orange Chicken for dinner…

Good evening from Northside…

And then we all crashed out…

It was another long week. Thank goodness it’s Friday. 😀🌄☀️🥡🐔❤️

It was really good. It was almost as good as Trader Joe’s Mandarin Orange Chicken…

And for dessert, we had strawberry shortcake…

It was another delicious dinner at home! 😀🥡🐔🍓❤️

We ran over to Trader Joe’s this morning. We were pretty surprised to see that they were limiting the number of customers to 30 people in the store at a time…

The line wasn’t very long. There were only three or four people ahead of us. Once we got into Trader Joe’s, it was pretty much like having the store to ourselves…

On the way home, we stopped to get coffee from Mad Llama, and we were back home in time for my first meeting of the morning. 😀🛍️☕️❤️

Another rainy Saturday.

This morning we woke up early again to head over to Trader Joe’s before it got too crazy busy on Saturday. The later it gets, the busier it gets. We usually try to get to Trader Joe’s as close to 8am when it open as we can. This morning was our best time
so far. We pulled into their parking lot at 8:02am…

I just thought that little berry bunny was pretty cute. We didn’t get any frozen chocolate cover strawberry pieces though. I wonder if they would be good?

After we were done getting groceries at TJ’s, we headed over to get our Saturday morning coffee at Biggby…

Biggby is our reward for getting up and getting groceries out of the way. We both got hot chocolates this morning. Biggby had more student artwork on display on their walls. I really liked the hills with the watercolor skies…

The owl and the elephant were really great too…

And if we had a daughter and named her Niala…

She would be Niala Fiala. Maybe Niala could be a middle name.

Later, we went over to Taft’s Brewpourium for another lunch with our gift cards we got for Christmas…

Taft’s had a new Hazelnut Latte Coffee Milk Stout on tap…

And it was really delicious. We watched the Michigan-Illinois game on our little tablet. We shared a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage and banana peppers…

We also shared some of Taft’s chicken wings…

We had six buffalo wings and six Cherrywood BBQ wings…

I think I really like the Cherrywood BBQ the best. But they’re both really good. And even though, Michigan lost. Again. It was a great lunch. We just love Taft’s pizza and wings.

Later, we started watching a series called 11.22.63 on Hulu. It’s pretty good so far. And even though it was another rainy day, it was another pretty good Saturday. 😀🌨️❤️
