Please send noods.

Good morning from Northside…

After we were done with work, we walked down to Gulow Street…

If you couldn’t tell, we like Gulow Street a lot…

Tonight, we both got noodles or as we like to call them: noods. Genifer ordered the Sesame Noods.

And I ordered the rigatoni bolognese noods with garlic bread…

Gulow Street has delicious, delicious noods. On the way home, we stopped to sit on the patio at Northside Tavern….

And then we went to home take the dogs around the block…

Gulow Street Friday nights are the best. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„πŸπŸ₯‘🐾❀️

Sunday funday.

We ran over to the grocery store early this morning even before we walked the dogs…

And then we stopped for Biggby Coffee…

When we got home, we took the dogs on their walk…

Good morning from morning…

We headed down to The Banks to go to our fourth Reds baseball game of the season…

We got a DORA drink before heading into the ballpark…

Welcome to the Great American Ball park…

Our tickets were in our favorite section of the ballpark, The Fioptics District…

Apparently, Fountain Square has a new stage…

We walked up to Queen City Radio in OtR to see if they had their amazing Whip burgers. They did not. So we hopped in an Uber and stopped for a drink at Northside Tavern…

And then we came home to hang out in our backyard for a bit with our new little lights…

And while we were sitting out on our patio, we watched the Grizzlies win game one of their first round best of seven against the Utah Jazz.

It was a terrific Sunday. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„βšΎοΈπŸΊπŸ’‘β€οΈ

Saturday, March 20th.

Today was the first day of Spring. And it felt like it…

We walked to Blue Jay for lunch…

We walked over to Boswell’s Alley to watch Michigan’s first round tournament game against Texas Southern. After the game, we stopped to have a few drinks at Northside Tavern. And on the way home, we picked up hoagies from NYPD. We had a really good Saturday. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„πŸŒπŸ»β™₯️

Happy New Year’s Eve.

It kind of figures that 2020 is going out with a gloomy, overcast day…

Good morning from Northside…

We ran over to Trader Joe’s this morning to pick up a few things…

We used one of our Trader Joe’s gift cards…

Thanks, mom & dad!

Trader Joe’s has the best taco sauce. Last time we were at TJ’s, they were all sold out of taco sauce. Thankfully, today they restocked and there was plenty…

Did we mention we had a Trader Joe’s gift card?

Trader Joe’s was having an employee gingerbread house contest…

This one was my favorite…

Ha. This is fine. And then we went to Biggby to get New Years Eve coffee…

Mack was all crashed out in our studio office…

We walked over to Northside Tavern for a couple of New Years Eve drinks…

It was nice to get out of the house for a bit and have some fun. On our walk home, we stopped by Kitchen Factory to get a couple of slices…

And our slices didn’t even make it home. We ate them while we were walking and they were delicious…

We took the dogs around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

Our plan we to stay up to watch the ball drop on TV. But we nodded off on our sofa. I woke up a couple of minutes before midnight. Genifer had already gone upstairs. I let the dogs out in the backyard just as the clock hit midnight. A whole bunch of cheers and noise makers could be as the clock struck midnight. And then there were some firework popped up all over the sky. And my cameras were on the dining table because I was just going to let the dogs out before heading upstairs. Oh well. I’m just happy that we can get a fresh start in the morning.

We hope everyone had a happy and safe New Years Eve. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„β˜•οΈπŸΎπŸ»πŸ•πŸŽŠπŸŽ‰πŸŽ†β€οΈ

Happy Fourth of July Eve!

Good morning from Northside…

It was a great morning for us because neither of us had to work. This morning we drove up north to Cam International Market in Evendale…

Cam International Market was so awesome. There was so much great stuff to explore. We slowly weaved our way up and down each and every aisle. It was noodle heaven and there were all sorts of unusual snacks and awesome Asian stuffs…

I wish I would have taken so many more photos. But I was so fascinated with everything in the market that I kind of completely forgot to take a lot of photos. We ended up getting some stuff to try, mostly ramen noodles, snacks, and candies from Russia. We’ll definitely be back. And next time we’ll have some recipes so we can look for specific ingredients. On our way home, we stopped at Penn Station to get lunch to bring home with us…

Penn Station is so good. Genifer always gets a 6-inch chicken teriyaki. And I always get an 8-inch Philly cheesesteak. Yum. Speaking of you, KitKat is one of my favorite candies. We got three different varieties of KitKat at Cam International Market…

The red ones were just like regular KitKats…

We think the bright green ones are KitKats with Matcha…

And we think the dark green are KitKats with seaweed because they tasted a little fishy.Β  It turned out to be a really pretty day.

Good evening for Northside…

This evening we walked down to Northside Tavern

We love Northside Tavern. We got to hang out and have a couple of beers. It was nice to get out of the house. And it was also really nice there weren’t very many people at Northside Tavern tonight. On our walk home, the moon was huge over Northside…

It was a really fun Fourth of July Eve. πŸ˜€πŸŒ„πŸ₯‘🍻❀️

Spaghetti western surf music?!

Back at the end of January when we were getting coffee one morning, and we noticed this poster in Sidewinder for The AmpFibians surf music series at Northside Tavern

We were really curious so tonight we walked over to Northside Tavern to check it out…

The first band at Northside Tavern tonight was Jake Logan and the Midnight Riders. They said they play spaghetti western surf music and it was awesome…

The second band was The AmpFibians and they played more traditional surf music…

And they were awesome too…

I’m not sure what was going on in the backroom at Northside Tavern but there were a bunch of people back there…

What a really fun night of incredible surf music at Northside Tavern! πŸ˜€πŸŒŠπŸŽΆβ€οΈ

Seen and noted.

While we were waiting for the Streetcar, we could see the Skystar Wheel

We’ll have to go ride it sometime in the near future. We walked by a new mural work in progress. Probably for the upcoming BLINK Cincinnati festivities

We stopped at Holiday SpiritsΒ in Over-the-Rhine for a drink…

And saw the great Zoltar…

And we made it back to Northside Tavern to try to shoot a game of pool…

But all the tables were taken…

It was a really fun night. πŸ˜€πŸΊβ€οΈ

An evening out in Northside.

We went out to Northside Tavern this evening for a drink…

We love Northside Tavern. On the way home, we got slices from Kitchen Factory

Kitchen Factory has some outstanding slices.

We love Northside. πŸ˜€πŸ₯ƒπŸ•β€οΈ

FC Cincinnati versus Toronto FC.

This evening our FC Cincinnati played host to Michael Bradley’s Toronto FC. But first, we stopped at Mac’s Pizza Pub for their special $5 matchday pizza…

And I wanted a grilled cheeses with some waffle fries…

And when we were done eating, we walked over to Nippert Stadium to watch our FC|C play those hosers from up north…

Jozy Altidore didn’t play in this match. I’m not even sure if he traveled with the team to Cincinnati. And that’s fine. I’ve always thought that he wasΒ really overrated. We saw him play against the Crew in Columbus. And he was just as underwhelming in person as he is with the national team.

But even terribly overrated players can scorch you when they’re left totally unmarked just outside of the 18. Like when FC|C was playing Toronto up in Canadia.Β

Here we go…

There were fans at Nippert who booed every time Michael Bradley touched the ball. I found it to be incredibly disrespectful with all he’s done on the USMNT. I think he’s one of the better, more consistent players that our national team has had lately…

And FC Cincinnati lost 5-1. It’s just been painful.

We grabbed an Uber back to Northside Tavern for a drink…

And then we came home and walked the dogs…

It was a pretty fun evening if you take out the 5-1 loss. πŸ˜€πŸ•πŸ₯ͺ⚽️🍺❀️

Northside nubs.

And Yurko stenciled on the sidewalk…
