Wodka Bar+Pins Rooftop Patio.

This afternoon we ventured down into Over-the-Rhine to check out the new Wodka Bar on Main Street with our friends, Chris and Tayler…

Wodka Bar is almost exclusively all craft vodka. We all shared a vodka flight…

Genifer also tried a pickle martini…

I tried their take on a White Russian called Russian Collusion. I would have ordered it just for the name alone…

It was really good but not as good as my favorite White Russian in all of Cincinnati over at Northside Distilling Company. We also shared some potato pierogis…

The pierogis were simply amazing. I was really digging the Eastern European artwork in the bathrooms…

And the ornate Sistine Chapel-esque ceiling in the bathroom as well…

Wodka Bar is a pretty neat place. From there, we walked down Main Street back to Pins Mechanical to check out their rooftop patio…

We played some rooftop patio giant Jenga…

And we played some rooftop patio Bocce ball…

Pins had this awesome fruit punch and Sprite mocktail that was delicious…

It was another really fun afternoon in OtR. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿธโค๏ธ

Sam Adams Taproom+The Italian Truck.

On the way home tonight, we stopped at the Sam Adams Taproom in Over-the-Rhine…

We shared one of Sam Adams famous and delicious giant pretzels…

But we didn’t realize The Italian Truck was out on Sam Adams patio…

We had to give them a try. We don’t get to try food trucks like we used to. So who knows when we’d get another chance. We ordered a Meatball Burrito, which was very good…

And Mozzarella Sticks because who doesn’t love Mozzarella Sticks?

And we took home a couple of cannoli for later…

It was all really good stuff. Speaking of stuffed, we definitely were.

And look at that gorgeous sky…

Dang. So pretty. It was a very tasty Friday evening! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿบ๐Ÿฅจ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡นโค๏ธ

Thursdays are for sharing Whip burgers.

We really like sharing a Whip Classic and fries at QCR on Thursdays. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸโค๏ธ

It was a really fun Saturday.

This morning we were out running errands and got coffees from Hyde Perk

Later, we went down to Over-the-Rhine. We stopped to admire OtR’s Ziegler Park

Then we stopped at The Pony for lunch. They had Bell’s Pineapple Jalapeno Oberon on tap. And it was sooooo good…

The Pony has some of the best chicken tenders in all of Cincinnati…

Then we walked down Main Street to finally get to check out the relatively new Pins Mechanical Company just down from The Pony…

Pins has Duck Pin Bowling…

We didn’t try any bowling. We’ll have to save that fun for another time. And upon the second floor of Pins…

Pins has a whole bunch of pinball machines…

Upon the third floor, they have an awesome patio with a bocce ball court and giant Jenga. But that is another story for another time. On the way home, we stopped at Second Place to watch the end of the Champions League Final…

It was another pretty fun Saturday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿด๐ŸŽณโค๏ธ

It must be Thursday.

We stopped at Queen City Radio again on the way home from work for a whip classic cheeseburger, a cheese coney, and some fries…

We love the whip classic…

YUM! We love Queen City Radio Thursdays!ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ๐ŸŒญโค๏ธ

Sunday funday.

This afternoon we went downtown got an Uber to see this afternoon’s Reds game…

They were playing the Pirates in a doubleheader today…

We had tickets way back at the beginning of the season for the Reds second game…

But it got rained outย whichย led to the FC|C monsoon game

There’s this new outpost bar out by the Wiffle ball field at GABP…

They’re always adding something new at the ballpark…

And the Reds lost 8-5.ย But of course, they won the second game 8-1 with a Jose Iglesias grand slam in a six-run first inning.ย And Puig and Double D went back-to-back in the 7th. Figures. After the game, we passed through Taste of Cincinnati…

Soooo many people. We also walked by our old apartment building. They built a whole brand new dog area in front of Sycamore Place…

It looked really nice. It smelled a bit like dog pee when we were walked by but it was a much better use of the space than when it was just a silly ten space parking lot…

And we kept walking up in OtR to have lunch at The Pony

And then we hopped in an Uber and headed for home. It was another really fun Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜€โšพ๏ธ๐Ÿดโค๏ธ

It’s not Thursday.

Almost every Thursday on our way home from work, we stop at Queen City Radio for a beer and one of their amazing Whip Classic burgers. This week we couldn’t wait and decided to stop at QCR on a rainy Wednesday…

I’ve also been really liking their cheese coney lately. I think their Whip Classic is one of the absolute best burgers in all of Cincinnati.ย  ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ๐ŸŒญโค๏ธ

Sam Adams Taproom + Mexi-Q.

On our way home tonight, we stopped at the Sam Adams taproomย for happy hour…

And we noticed that the Mexi-Q Mexican BBQ food truck was out on Sam Adams patio tonight. We’ve never tried anything from Mexi-Q food truck before. Mexican meets BBQ? I had a feeling that this was going to be awesome…

Genifer ordered a Veggie Burrito Bowl…

And I ordered the Spicy Mexican Mac…

It was really good! You can’t beat delicious food stuffs from a food truck that you’ve never had the chance to try before. Especially when it’s Mexican and BBQ, two of my very favorite food groups. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿบ๐ŸŒฏโค๏ธ

Saturday afternoon in OtR.

We got up this morning, walked the dogs and then hopped on our Metro 17 bus to head down into Over-the-Rhine. Today was the first spring edition of The City Fleaย in OtR’s beautifulย Washington Park

Thornwoods! I used to work with Ben at Deskey. He and his wife started this pop-up and their stuff is really awesome!

I also love all the creatures fromย Happy Groundhog Studios…

I also used to work with James Billiter at LPK, who does some terrific stuff as well…

It was another great edition of The City Flea. Afterward, we headed over to get a drink from one of Genifer’s favorite OtR spots, Sundry and Vice.ย

And today, S&V had homemade empanadas…

DANG! I love empanadas so much!

Genifer loves Sundry and Vice’s draft Old Fashioned…

Next, we walked up Vine Street and were drawn in by this sign in front ofย panino

We’ll have to stop back at panino for sammiches. I’ve heard nothing but good things.

It seems like there is always something “coming soon” in OtR…

And then we walked over to Mecca

And we had one of their Chunkers…

And some popcorn…

And then we hopped in an Uber and headed back home. It was a really fun afternoon wandering around Over-the-Rhine. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿฅƒ๐Ÿฟโค๏ธ

Whip burgers and 62,000 miles!

Our 2008 VW Jetta GLI about to hit 62,000 miles on the odometer this evening…

We stopped at Queen City Radioย for happy hour on the way home…

We shared a delicious whip burger and fries…

We also got one of their cheese coneys too…

I really like their cheese coneys. But I love their Whip Burgers. And on our way home, we hit 62,000 miles…

It was a pretty nice reward for getting back to work today. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿš—โค๏ธ
