Thanks, USPS.

Back on November 27th, I mailed a package from the post office in St. Bernard. I was sending two Lego City Advent Calendars out to our niece and nephew in Boston. I sent it Two-Day Priority Mail because I forgot about the box that was sitting on the sofa in our studio office…

It was expensive but that’s fine. It was still expected to arrive on November 30th…

If figured even if it was late, the package would still arrive on December 1st or 2nd. And everything would be just fine. I started tracking the package online because that’s the fun part of sending packages, tracking their journey. My package disappeared twice with no updates, once for four days and then for another eight days…

On December 2nd, the package was still in Cincinnati. When I checked the tracking number this morning, it looks like my package is finally going to be delivered today… SEVENTEEN DAYS LATER.

And our package was delivered today, December 14th at 5:26pm…

At least, the package finally arrived, and we’re really happy about that. But still… Seventeen. Days. Thanks, USPS. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿ“ญ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ

Burger King and some whaaaat?

Good morning from Northside…

We were so lazy today. We laid around all morning. Finally, we started to get hungry and ventured out of the house. On our way to get lunch, we stopped to get gas in Finneytown…

And there was this sticker on our pump…

And then it was onto the Home of the Whopper. We ordered a BK feast through the Burger King App…

Usually, Burger King is reserved only for road trips. But it just sounded really good today. And we ordered a bunch so we’d have snack for later.

I’m just going to leave these scores here without comment…

๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฒ What makes it even more nuts is when you combine today’s Liverpool and United results with last weekend’s thumping of City by Leicester…

It brings me great joy whenever United or Liverpool lose. And to have them both great thumped on the same day, just makes for a really great Sunday. Now I have a couple of matches to go back and watch to see just what the heck happened.

Good evening from Northside…

And we finished our Sunday with ball in our backyard until it got too dark…

We had a very nice, lazy and relaxing Sunday. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘‘๐Ÿ“บโšฝ๏ธโค๏ธ

Burgers to start the weekend.

We always let the dogs out in the backyard before we take them on a walk…

Good morning from Northside…

Our flowers in our front yard are looking really pretty…

I’ve been pulling weeds everyday. Hopefully someday our little front yard will be weed-free and the clover will just take over. Speaking of flowers, how pretty is this one that we saw on our dog walk this evening?

And good evening from Northside…

After work was done and after we walked the dogs tonight, we walked down to Tickle Pickle to get burgers and shakes for dinner….

Tickle Pickle makes vegan shake that Genifer just loves. I’ve been in love with their regular strawberry milkshakes…

Genifer ordered the Eagles chicken sammich…

And I ordered my Buns ‘n Roses burger with extra cheese…

Tickle Pickle is delicious. And it was a great way to start the weekend. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ„๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ”โค๏ธ

Baseball is back!

Welcome back baseball! Our Redlegs look like they have a pretty good team this year…

This is going to be a very unique, one-of-a-kind season the likes of which will hopefully never happen again. It should make the baseball really interesting…

With the COVID-19 shortened regular season only being 60 games long, every game is really going to matter. And I hope baseball can make it all the way through the regular season to get the expanded playoffs…

Because that sounds like it would be a blast! Fingers crossed that the COVID-19 doesn’t ruin this too. ๐Ÿ˜€โšพ๏ธ๐Ÿฆ โค๏ธ

I don’t understand why baseball didn’t try to create a bubble just like the other major North American sports. After a rocky start, the MLS bubble seems to be holding really well and the so far the NBA bubble seems to be intact too. It’ll be interesting to see if the MLB made a huge mistake by not creating a bubble in Arizona with all the little spring training ballparks out there. I guess we’ll find out.

It’s what’s for dinner.

For dinner tonight, Genifer made another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared House Chef Express meals. This one was Mini Carnitas Flatbreads…

And they were pretty amazing…

It was another delicious Kroger prep+pared meal. I think I say this every time we have one of these meals but this one might have been my favorite one yet. ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒฎโค๏ธ

Meet the Egguins.

Our new Penguin Egg Holder arrived in the mail today. Making hard-boiled eggs has never been so much fun or so cute. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅš๐Ÿงโค๏ธ

FabFitFun.

Genifer ordered another FabFitFun for me. And today, it arrived in the mail…

Look at all the fun stuff that was in my box…

Genifer got herself a FabFitFun for herself too…

FabFitFun definitely lives up to its name. Itโ€™s really fun.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŽโค๏ธ

It’s been so grey lately.

It’s been so grey lately that I’m starting to forget what the sun looks like. Welcome to autumn in Ohio. ๐Ÿ˜€โ˜๏ธโค๏ธ

Fantasy football wrap-up.

I completely forgot to do a blog post about the culmination of my fantasy football season. I wrote an update after weekย 5 of the season, and another after week 10. But I never wrote one wrapping up the finish of my season. So here we go…

36496598773_1944734904_o

My seven teams went a combined 65-28. I made the playoffs in every league except my league at work, and that was the one that mattered most. In my work league, I finished a disappointing sixth out of twelve teams with a record of 10-5. In the other six leagues, I had a fourth-place finish, three third-place, one second-place and one championship win. In the league where I won my one championship, I was 11-2 but I was 7-6 in the league where I finished second. Figure that one out. It was another fun season of fantasy football.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ†โค๏ธ

Good evening from Northside.

Every evening, Genifer and Oscar met me as I get off the bus from work, and we walk home together. Taken with Instagram.ย ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŒ†โค๏ธ
