Pineapple upside down cheesecake?!

It was a pretty overcast Thursday morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We drove over to St. Bernard to get Skyline lunch…

And on our way home, of course we get stuck behind a train…

The train wasn’t too long. We made it home to enjoy our Skylines…

It was still looking pretty grey and a little stormy when we were heading out on our evening walk…

Good evening from Northside…

And for dinner, we ate our deep dish pizza from Chameleon…

I love deep dish pizza. And we ate our pineapple upside down cheesecake that we got with our Skyline lunch…

We weren’t sure about pineapple upside down cheesecake but it turned out to be amazing. And we wished we would have ordered two slices. And that was our Thursday. 😀🌄🧀🌭🍕🍍❤️

A morning without power.

Good morning from Northside…

We lost power this morning after we got back from our walk. The power company said power was scheduled to return around 1pm. We ran out to get Skyline for a lunch a little bit before noon…

When we got home with our lunch, the power came back on. And it was Skyline time!

And then it was time to get to work.

Good evening from Northside…

There was really pretty light coming into the back of our house…

Today really made me really appreciate having electricity. 😀🌄⚡️🐾❤️

A very snowy President’s Day.

Happy President’s Day! I’m very appreciative to have an actual functioning adult as president again.

It was very snowy again this morning. We got some more snow overnight and we were supposed to get a bunch more snow this afternoon into this evening. We were joking that it wasn’t a holiday during the middle of a pandemic that it would have probably been a snow day and we would have got to stay home…

And so a snowy good morning from Northside…

Before the snow got too bad, we ran over to Skyline to pickup some lunch…

The roads weren’t terrible. But they also weren’t great…

Genifer didn’t yell at me for taking photos with my DJI Osmo Pocket while driving so you know it wasn’t too bad outside yet…

Up in Michigan, they would have just called this another Monday…

Genifer’s Audi Q3 did really well in the snow…

And now it’s Skyline Time!

It was so good. For dessert, we ate our Valentine’s cannolis from Taft’s yesterday…

Shortly after we were done eating, we received a text that Hamilton County was upgraded to a Level 2 Snow Advisory…

Good evening from a very snowy Northside…

We played in the snow in our backyard…

And we watched the snow accumulate on our street from our third-floor WyzeCam…

We also watched all six episodes of the series Young Wallander on Netflix. It was pretty good. But the ending was a bit dumb.

Oh… and Michigan basketball is now ranked number three in the country…

We had a really nice President’s Day home from work. 😀🌄🌨️❄️📺❤️

It’s Skyline time!

This morning it was really overcast, dark and rainy. Good morning from Northside…

But by lunchtime, the sun was out…

We ran over to St. Bernard for lunch and we saw this funny looking truck…

We picked up some Skyline for lunch…

It’s Skyline time!

Skyline is so good. Genifer had a deluxe burrito. I had a 5-way and two cheese coneys while I finished up my work for the week. And then it was overcast again when we went on our evening week…

Good evening from Northside…

We shared our Cinnabon cheesecake we got with our lunch…

Then we headed upstairs for the night and we finished Collateral: Limited Series on Netflix. 😀🌄🧀🌭🍝📺❤️

It’s Skyline time!

It was very pretty this morning. A little chilly but still a very pretty morning…

Good morning from Northside…

We were pretty lazy this morning…

We went to St. Bernard to get some Skyline chili for lunch…

We used our #15 gift card that we won from a Skyline Chili virtual parachute drop on Twitter during one of the Xavier basketball games a while back…

That gift card didn’t last very long. It’s Skyline time!

Mmmm… Cheese coneys…

And we ordered a slice of Cinnabon cheesecake to share…

We ate our lunch, watched Arsenal beat Brighton & Hove Albion, puttered, and took the dogs on their evening walk around the block…

Good evening from Northside…

This evening we watched a couple of terrible movies on Amazon Prime Video. Terrible. I don’t remember what they were called but they were so bad that I’m not even going to look them up to see what they were called. Ohmigosh. They were so bad. Movies, bad. But our day off was really good. 😀🌄🌭🧀🐾❤️

We walked down to watch the sunrise…

And good morning from Northside…

Today was day 22 of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

We powered through our last work day before Christmas. And finished up our projects for the week.

Then it was time to take the dogs on their evening walk around the block…

For dinner tonight, we had another one of the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meals. This one was Stroganoff Beef Meatloaf with green beans…

And it was another really delicious dinner. Those little meatloaves were just out of this world. I love anything beef stroganoff. I think it’s my favorite gravy. We really like the Kroger Prep+Pared Home Chef Express meal kits a lot.

We received a card in the mail from Skyline today…

During one of the Xavier basketball games a while back, I won a $15 gift card during their Skyline Chili virtual parachute drop on Twitter…

And today, our gift card showed up in the mail…

Thanks, Xavier and Skyline! That’s pretty dang cool. We’re looking forward to having some Skyline very soon and cruising into the long holiday weekend. 😀🌄🍽️🧧❤️

Hello Christmas tree.

Happy Friday after Thanksgiving! And good morning from Northside…

We put up our Christmas tree out this morning…

We started to add lights but two sets were burned out leaving us with a Christmas tree that was only half-lit …

Unfortunately for Oscar, Genifer found his reindeer antlers…

We ran over to the post office…

We sent a package out that we probably should have mailed last week but I completely forgot about it. We’ll see if it still arrives in time. I hope so.

After we mailed our package, it was Skyline time!

Genifer had a deluxe burrito. And I had a 5-way…

Skyline is so good. I saved my cheese coneys for later. After lunch, Genifer kept working on bringing out the Christmas decorations and I went out to work on the front yard a bit…

We could see our T+G again…

We took the dogs on their evening walk…

Good evening from Northside…

Tomorrow, we’ll work on some Christmas lights…

We had Thanksgiving leftovers for dinner…

Later, we watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the Minion Holiday Special and then we watched 47 Hours to Live on Netflix. The Christmas specials were terrific. The movie was not so great.

But today was fantastic. 😀🌄🎄🏠❤️

We made it! It’s Skyline time!

All we had to do was make it through today, and tomorrow we’d be off to North Carolina for the week…

We walked down the path on the top of the hill to watch the sunrise…

There was a very faint pink streak across the sky this morning…

We finally made it through our day. We wrapped up all our lose ends and I finished up our projects the best we could. After work, we ran a couple of errands to get a few things for our trip. And on our way home, we stopped to get Skyline carry-out for dinner tonight…

Skyline is sooo good. It’s pretty annoying how early it gets dark now…

We are pretty much all packed and set to go on our road trip tomorrow morning. We just have to drop off Mack at the kennel and then we are on our way! 😀🌄🧀🌭❤️
