FC Cincinnati Open House.

This afternoon we went up to the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium, future home of FC Cincinnati for an open house to get some information on season tickets and do a stadium walkthrough to try to get an idea of where we’d like to sit for the inaugural season of FC Cincinnati soccer…

We reserved our spot in line for season tickets the day it was announced that Cincinnati was getting a USL soccer team

FC Cincinnati’s Jeff Smith was on hand to answer any questions about the season ticket program…

The view from the club level…

We were told that midfield would be around the 40-45 yard line. And that we learned that come soccer season in March/April, all the football lines will be gone, and the field will only be lined for soccer; a true soccer field. All very exciting news. But anyway, we’re thinking about getting seats right around here…

We really can’t wait for the start of the inaugural season of FC Cincinnati soccer! 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #4.

At lunchtime, we walked down to US Bank Arena to get tickets for our fourth Cyclones hockey game of the season because it’s Throwback Night... $10 tickets, $1 pizza, hot dogs and beers. And it’s also the annual Teddy Bear Toss night where everyone brings a stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the Cyclones score their first goal. The calm before the storm at US Bank Arena…

We picked up some Jimmy Johns for lunch while we were down in The Banks…

And then this evening, we headed back down to US Bank Arena…

And as we were on our way to our seats, the Cyclones scored! UNLEASH THE TEDDY’S!

And back to hockey. At the end of the first period, it was 2-0 Cyclones…

There’s always one stuffed animal that doesn’t quite make it to the ice and gets caught up in the netting behind the goal…

Except tonight, there were two…

Trailing 2-1, the Quad City Mallards pulled their goalie…

And the ‘Clones capitalized on the empty to take a 3-1 lead for the win!

The Cyclones are off to a great 7-2-0-1 start in their first ten games of the season! We love our ‘Clones! Click to see all the photos I took at Cyclones hockey game #4 of the season. 🙂

Cyclones hockey game #3.

Tonight, we went to our third Cyclones game of the season. They were taking on the Fort Wayne Komets at US Bank Arena! Let’s go…

Puckchop was back!

So were the beer pyramids…

We see this guy at every game, always with shorts and flip-flops on…

And for the second game in a row, our #CyclonesCyclones photo made the big screen!

Actually, it made it up there twice! Once from Instagram and once from Twitter!

And the Cyclones would go on to win 3-1!

The Cyclones are off to a great start this season. They’re 6-2-0-1 through their first nine games! Hopefully, they’ll be adding some more banners up in the US Bank Arena rafters at the end of the season!

Cyclones hockey game #2.

We went to our second Cyclones hockey game of the regular season tonight. It was our third game, if you count the preseason game we went to back in October

At the end of the first, it was 0-0…

Of course, there were some beer pyramids…

Going into the third period, the Toledo Walleye were up 1-0…

For the third period, we moved over to our season ticket seats…

At the end of the third, the game was knotted at one all. EXTRA HOCKEY! The game moved to a five-minute three-on-three sudden death overtime period…

At the end of the five minute sudden death overtime, it was still all knotted at one. EXTRA EXTRA HOCKEY!! And onto shoot-outs! But the Cyclones lost in the shoot-outs. :/
