A nice start to the new year.

Welcome to the new year! Good morning from Northside…

Our new year got off to a very lazy start. We were so lazy. Today, we ended up watching the entire season of Manhunt: Deadly Games. We watched all ten episodes back to back to back. It was a really good show. We like the detective shows. We did take a little break about halfway through to get NYPD hoagies for lunch…

We ordered a family fry but they gave us cheese fries. And they gave us a regular fry instead of my hoagie. We called them and they sorted it out. NYPD hoagies are so good. We were so stuffed afterward. We watched our UC Bearcats lose a heartbreaker to Georgia in the Peach Bowl. They represented themselves very well on the big stage. All the while Mack hung out on his dog bed in our studio office…

And then we took the dogs around the block. The sky was very pretty tonight…

Good evening from Northside…

It was a very pretty evening. We had a great lazy day just watching our show.
😀🌄🥪🍟📺❤️

Two out of three isn’t bad.

Good morning from Northside…

This morning we ran over to Target to do some shopping…

How cute are these bears? I love a bin of adorable bears…

And there was this adorable yeti stocking

Greetings from Antarctica…

I designed the eCommerce basic images for all the holiday Swiss Miss hot cocoa gift sets

Speaking of Swiss Miss, how long has there been Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa with Lucky Charms Marshmallows? It’s the first time I’ve ever seen this sorcery…

And speaking of cocoa, I love hot chocolate. It’s become my go-to drink whenever we go out to get coffee.

When we got home, it was time for day thirteen of my Lego City Advent Calendar…

We had snacks for lunch today…

We watched Arsenal lose 1-0 to Burnley…

It was the first time since December 1959 that the Gunners have lost four consecutive matches at home. They are really not doing well this season. At the same time as the Arsenal match, Michigan was playing their Big Ten opener against Penn State and our Cowboys were playing in Cincinnati against the Bengals…

Both Michigan and Dallas won their games. I guess, two out of three isn’t so bad.

Good evening from Northside…

Later, I had one of my favorite snacks, Ritz crackers and peanut butter…

We finished season one of Black Spot. It’s a very odd show. Very good, very interesting, but very odd. We’ll start on season two tomorrow. 😀🌄🛍️📺⚽️🏀🏈❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Real Salt Lake.

Tonight, our FC Cincinnati was playing host to Real Salt Lake…

It was another cold and rainy evening for FC Cincinnati soccer this time the match was on a Friday night. At least, it wasn’t another Sunday game.

We saw FC|C’s mascot, Gary…

And we headed around to the other side of Nippert Stadium to find our friend, Kathy…

Turns out Kathy had some pretty amazing seats…

There’s Kathy…

The match ended 3-0 to Real Salt Lake. I still don’t understand why almost everyone in Cincinnati was so hyped about joining MLS. I loved the USL version of FC Cincinnati so much. The MLS FC|C has now been outscored 8-1 in their four matches. 😀⚽️❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Sporting Kansas City.

FC Cincinnati was playing host to Sporting Kansas City on yet another cold and rainy Sunday. Remember when soccer used to be played on Saturdays?

And the match would end in a 1-1 draw

After the match, we hopped in an Uber to get back to Northside to get a slice of pizza at Chameleon and then we walked home…

And the slices were pretty much the best part of the evening. Standing around on another cold and rainy Sunday watching a lackluster performance. I’m getting pretty tired of these Sunday matches. If I wanted to watch mediocre football on Sunday afternoons, I’d go to Bengals game.😀⚽️❤️

The monsoon match.

Tonight, FC Cincinnati played host to Philadelphia Union in what will forever be known in my mind and always referred to as the FC|C Monsoon Match…

We headed down to where we normally stand only to find a lot of people had pretty much the same exact idea…

I think I spent as much time watching the rain fall as I spent watching the soccer…

We decided to break camp just before half time and watch the second half from the comfort of St. Clair. Any place inside of Nippert Stadium with an overhang was jam-packed full of people…

When FC Cincinnati went down 2-0, we decided to pack it in completely, get an Uber and head for home…

FC Cincinnati ended up losing the monsoon match 2-0. 😀⚽️🌧️☔️❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.

I was riding the Metro 17 bus home this evening and I couldn’t help but notice there was a huge pile of rubble where they are tearing down the old Deaconess Hospital

That’s a pretty big pile of rubble. 😀🚧❤️

FC Cincinnati’s first MLS home match.

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY! Today was another holiday in Cincinnati. It was our beloved FC Cincinnati’s very first MLS match at home in the friendly confines of historic Nippert Stadium. And they were playing host to MLS powerhouse, Portland Timbers…

Before the match, we stopped at Mac’s Pizza Pub for a green St. Patty’s Day beer…

And then it was finally time to head over to Nippert…

They were giving away FC Cincinnati inaugural MLS season jersey rally towels…

We got to see Tim, our very favorite beer vendor again…

I was testing out my 60mm Moment lens to take photos at the match…

It worked pretty well!

GOAL! FC CINCINNATI!

At halftime, it was 1-0 FC Cincinnati!

FC|C scored two goals in 2 minutes to make the score 3-0!

And the match would end 3-0 to FC Cincinnati! What an incredible home debut in front of 32,250 at a sold-out Nippert Stadium!

This match is going to go down in Cincinnati sports history as one of those “I was there” moments. And thankfully, we were there! 😀⚽️❤️

Constructing Cincinnati.

I rode the Metro 17 bus into work this morning. It’s been a minute since I rode the bus to work. I couldn’t help but notice that they’re tearing down the old Deaconess Hospital across Clifton Avenue from UC’s campus to make way for new apartments…

And downtown on the corner of Walnut and Court Streets, the new apartment tower keeps extending upwards. This building’s parking garage is already open…

😀🚧❤️

USL Cup 2018: FC Cincinnati versus NY Red Bulls II.

USL EASTERN CONFERENCE SEMI-FINALS! Our number one seeded FC Cincinnati was playing host to the fifth seed baby Bulls of New York…

HERE WE GO!

At halftime, it was 1-0 New York Red Bulls II…

And after a very frustrating second half with very few chances created, the match would end 1-0 to NY Red Bulls…

With today’s loss, FC Cincinnati saw its 2018 season come to an end. It was a great season for FC Cincinnati. They went on an unbelievable undefeated run that spanned FC|C’s last 23 games of the regular season, and last 25-games overall. The undefeated streak began all the way back on June 2 and also included draws in the club’s US Open Cup fourth-round match against MLS’ Minnesota United (0-0, 4-1 loss in PKs) and last week’s Eastern Conference Quarterfinal against Nashville SC (0-0, 6-5 win in PKs). FC Cincy posted a regular-season record of 23-3-8 with 77 points. They set USL records for regular-season wins, longest undefeated streak and most points. And they were crowned USL regular season champions. It was a pretty amazing season.

But all good things have to come to an end. I would much rather have them get knocked out in the conference semi-finals by Red Bulls than rival Louisville City in the conference finals. Or for them to make it to the USL Cup final only to lose that match. Hopefully, they’ll keep getting better and better players and will be competitive next season in MLS. We’ll just have to wait and see. 😀⚽️🏆❤️

FC Cincinnati versus Indy Eleven.

IT’S FC CINCINNATI MATCH DAY SEVENTEEN! Tonight was the final USL regular-season home game for our FC Cincinnati. Their next home match will be the opening round of USL Cup 2018. And after that, they’ll move on to MLS.

FC|C can tie the current USL record for consecutive matches undefeated with a win or a draw tonight. With our soon to be collector’s item tickets in hand, we headed out to Nippert Stadium to watch our FC Cincy take on Indy Eleven…

I just missed the team photo…

HERE WE GO…

It was 1-0 FC|C at the half, and that means… SPRINKLES!

Sprinkles had a new friend but I didn’t catch what his name was…

AND THERE’S THE FULL-TIME WHISTLE! 3-0 to FC|C!

And FC Cincinnati tied the USL record for most consecutive matches without a defeat at 22 in a row! The players celebrated while a small stage was set up for an onfield post-match ceremony with the presentation of some silverware for our USL regular season champions…

WHAT A NIGHT! FC Cincinnati plays away to Nashville SC next Saturday in the final match of the regular season. As regular season champions, FC Cincinnati gets home-field advantage throughout USL Cup 2018. Their first playoff match will be on Saturday, October 20th right here at Nippert Stadium. 😀⚽️🏆❤️
